“My daughter and a lot of other mothers are furious about their children being made to kneel on the floor and pray to Islam. If they didn’t do it they were given detention.
“I am not racist, I’ve been friendly with an Indian for 30 years. I’ve also been to a Muslim wedding where it was explained to me that alcohol would not be served and I respected that.
“But if Muslims were asked to go to church on Sunday and take Holy Communion there would be war.”
Parents said that their children were made to bend down on their knees on prayer mats which the RE teacher had got out of her cupboard and they were also told to wear Islamic headgear during the lesson on Tuesday afternoon
At best this was a very misguided attempt to make non-Muslim children understand aspects of the faith ,but I am not generous enough to believe that at all. We are warned that there is a desire in Islam to make the faith global and universal and this incident suggests that the minions of the soft left in the teaching profession are more than willing to to be standard bearers for the” religion of peace”. We should be thankful that there were a few individuals who were willing to stand up against this sort of “teaching”.
This teacher should be sacked and the headmaster of the school who allowed and or authorised this lesson should be as well; there is no reason for forcing any child to participate in any form of worship at school.

Even if it was a private school, this would be a scandal if it was not a Muslim school. In lawyer’s terms, there would be a breach of contract by either the school or the teacher concerned.

I went to a Christian school and we were punished if we didn’t participate in Friday chapel services. It was plain as daylight that we were expected to do so.
Precisely my point. If its a non-Muslim school, prayers to Allah are a clear breach.
In Islam there is no kneeling down for prayer like in Christianity and also no one would punish for not kneeling down. This itself shows that this is a false story. Actually this story is created by 2 Jewish blog sites. Which was then picked up by Major newspapers as they always pick on Muslim stories since that only gives them coverage nowadays. Anybody who have common sense would understand first of all Alsager School is not a muslim school and why would they punish for not praying in a RE practical lessons.
