The useful idiots of the left and Islam

There really is nothing more bizarre than a minion of the left who has willful blindness about the nature of Islam and the way it considers homosexuality. So often I have seen then full of righteous indignation when someone like myself dares to point out the problems with Islam for someone of their political persuasion. They are horrified that someone should point out that most  followers of  Islam would happily  send every Gay person to a grisly end.

I think here in particular about “useful idiots” like “Paul wello* ” and Richard Ryan  and more intelligent lefties, like our learned friend and “Reb” from Gutter trash who seem to be able to achieve an otherwise impossible  reconciliation between Islam’s attitude to homosexuality and their own advocacy for Gay marriage. How they do it totally eludes me but then I have moved on from the hypocrisy of political correctness and the madness of trying to pretend that Islam is not totally at odds with secular western democracy.

*Paul is banned here but I will recover any comment he makes from the trash if it is on topic and not too silly, hang on it might be very entertaining if it is as silly as his usual efforts.

Progressive racism

Of course Pat is right on the money about those “progressives and their patronising  racism being the reason that they are so keen to defend or ignore the evil done in the name of Allah.

Progressive” used to mean socially enlightened and forward looking. Now it’s just another word for a creepy liberal racist.

Throw something on the Barbie mate while we worship the four wheeled God…

morris-eight-tourer-si-1935

Just a short post to explain that I will not be available to the blog over the weekend because I’m off to a rare gathering of the Hall brothers all in one place, where we expect to talk much bullshit have a few drinks (well the others might but I can’t 😦  ) and solve all of the problems of the world, bring about world peace and to prove that the worship of the four wheeled God is the only true way to spiritual nirvana   …

Ok maybe only some of that is true but the wash up should be that I hope to have a nice weekend away with some good food and fellowship.

How many blood soaked shopping trolleys will it take before the penny will drop on the obvious?

There can be few people in this country who have not heard about the still ongoing atrocity in Nairobi as followers of that  so called “religion of peace” murder innocent shoppers  in what is just another in the very long line of attempts at intimidation and religious brutality. Kenya is of course a soft target with a police service and military that is not well versed in the problem or the best ways to quickly bring the Muslim scum-bags the “glorious” death that they dream of.

She heard the first grenade go off and said, ‘What was that, dad?’," her mother Linda told the station. "Then he heard the guns firing and he knew exactly what it was and he said, ‘We’re under attack, everybody to the back of the room'." The 23-year-old from Eltham, who is reportedly the ex-partner of Carlton captain Marc Murphy, spent six hours trapped in the store before she could run to safety. In addition to the 68 people killed, who included women and children, 205 people were wounded. Government officials said the wounded ranged in age from two to 78. Kenyan commandos cornered several of the assailants on the third floor of the mall, and as of Sunday night they were still reportedly holding hostages, more than 18 hours after the attack began (about 8pm AEST on Saturday). Western officials said they expected the assailants would fight to the death, although the Kenyan news media reported one wounded gunman had been captured but later died in hospital. Several witnesses said one of the assailants was a woman. As the police cleared sections of the mall, terrified shoppers emerged with their hands up and collapsed in each other's arms. Victims soaked in their own blood were wheeled out in shopping trolleys. Yet time and time again the apologists for Islam will denounce the decent people like yours truly or our own esteemed GD for being overtly critical of Islam. When its clear that the object before us is a digging implement then lets just admit that its a bloody shovel and not pretend that only some of them are used to dig graves.

How many blood soaked shopping trolleys will it take before the penny will drop on the obvious? The problem is Islam, its a bigoted intolerant faith that has at its core the instruction for its followers to convert or kill all unbelievers until the entire planet is under the heal of its totalitarian ideology. We would not dream of importing Neo-Nazis and allowing them to become Australians so they could create the Fourth Reich down-under chapter, yet the Luvvies would have us import followers of Islam by the boat load. Frankly if anyone actively subscribes to an ideology that endorses the ongoing atrocity in Nairobi then they should have no place in this country. End of story.

GEERT UP! GEERT DOWN! GEERT WILDERS!

Mike
I find it sadly amusing that those from your end of the political spectrum who are so uptight about Christianity are so afraid of any criticism of Islam, especially when you consider how antithetical Islam is to so many aspects of modern society that you champion, things like homosexuality and Gay marriage, the equality of women, tolerance of religious diversity are all soundly denounced by both Islamic scripture and contemporary Islamic scholars and Imams. Add to that rampant Anti-Semitism, intimidation of those criticise or lampoon the faith and dreams of Jihad and there is a great deal that any progressive should be willing to criticise. That those like yourself are scared of anyone, like Geert Wilders who tells it like it is and points out the folly of ignoring the implications of Islam in our societies suggest that the cleansing effect of sunshine needs to be shone upon both Islam and those who are so willing to be its apologists and enablers.

Update

I come back to the computer after a lay down and find that Mike has not only deleted the post that I re-blogged but the entire content of his blog!

The only post there now is this:

BRB.

Yeah, no, sorry, it’s just too painful/stressful/aggravating to write about Australian politics. Solidly European stuff now. Anything even vaguely political will be on The Drum/The Punch/National Times.

When challenged:

Is it the love of beer that prevents Damian Doyle from converting to Islam?

doyled1

Damian Doyle has always struck me as a strange individual, so sanctimonious and so judgemental of yours truly and so full of condescension for anyone who does not hold beliefs concurrent  with his own. He is an avid consumer of what I call “disaster porn” and if there is some natural disaster in the third world he is onto it like a flash tweeting about it or decrying the tardy response of the west to said disasters. Anyway  our Damian has written a rather wordy piece about the way that Islam is perceived in this country and in it he sneers at  any and all criticism of that faith.

During the question and answer session it became clear that many members of the audience were genuinely curious about Islam. Having heard so many terrible things about the religion – not just at the forum but elsewhere too – they wanted to understand its core teachings and central texts. One woman commented she had attempted to read the Qur’an but found it unintelligible and confusing. That’s a pretty normal response as it’s a very different book to, say, the New Testament. “So where can we learn more about Islam?”

The response at that forum, naturally enough under the circumstances, was not all that helpful. The conveners were unanimous in their advice, “There’s an excellent website called Jihad Watch, which is run by an organisation that we’re linked with. Its main author, Robert Spencer, has also written a lot of books that are essential reading”.

Of course, you don’t need to attend a meeting of the Q Society, a fringe group fighting the good fight against the ‘Islamisation of Australia’ and the implementation of sharia law in our school tuckshops, to meet people who see Islam as a baffling unknown. Through conversations in pubs and coffee shops, by reading letters in tabloid newspapers and on blogs, or by listening to commentary on television or radio, it’s easy to see that Islam is a poorly understood religion in Australia.

source

Notice the way that Doyle frames his barely concealed contempt for anyone who is critical of Islam? The reference to Tuck-shops is clearly an allusion   to the cruelty concerns of the issue of the conversion of institutional food sources to halal even when only a very tiny number of the consumers are Muslim. It seems to me that Doyle is suggesting that only very favourable discussion of Islam should ever be listened to and considered and that anything that is at all critical of Islam is haram.

Please dear readers go to his piece and you will find a great example of quisling rhetoric in full flight, an essay that even tries to play down the significance of Female Genital Mutilation Note his choice of words to describe the practice:

A sad example of this is the issue of female genital cutting. The attendees at the Q Society forum would have been left with the impression that female genital cutting is an Islamic practice as an example of the religion’s repression and abuse of women. By contrast, the conference attendees heard an account of a pre-Islamic cultural practice being eliminated from a community as a result of a local imam’s leadership during the 1950s.

source

Yes Damian we have all heard  that line and although it may be true in the most pedantic sense for every Muslim society that abhors and rejects the practice there are many others who are at best indifferent to the vile practice..

It seems to me that for Damian   dreams about is an uncritical acceptance of Islam   and the practice of the faith, both here and elsewhere in the world, and a substantive deference to the sensitivities of those who follow that faith. Thus he wants no criticism of the hot heads who call for the beheading of  unbelievers   and he wants to see nothing but positive  PR for the faith within the Australian community.:

And so I’ve decided to start small. To think about the things I can influence, rather than those I can’t. People will decide for themselves what to believe about Islam and its role in society, both in Australia and globally. Some will continue to reach out to sources of information that, in my view, are toxic and uninformed. I need to remember that a simple thing I can do is to let them know there are other sources, that those sources can be trusted, and that obtaining information from a range of sources is the best way to become informed.

source

The trouble with this exercise in parsimony, as readers of this blog will know, is that Damian  considers any sort of criticism of Islam at all is an example of “bigotry” and I can’t help thinking that the only thing that is preventing Damian from going the whole hog to making the declaration ” There is no god but Allah and Mohamed is his prophet” must be  Mr Doyle’s love of beer.

Mohamad Elomar needs anger management or a one way ticket to Mecca

ME1

Found this missive in my in-box this morning from a rather het up  Mohamad  Elomar, frankly I think it is a very good reason to continue to critique a faith that sprouts this sort of belligerent triumphal-ism. The email of course begs the question of how tolerant do we have to be of the intolerant in a multi-faith and multicultural society?

Ha Ha Islamophobia

When I saw this latest vid from Pat Condell  my thoughts immediately turned to  Damian Doyle who is always so quick to attack me every time I post something that is even vaguely critical  of Islam. So it is to him and to all of those minions of the left who bend over backwards to defend the “religion of peace” with cries of  “Islamaphobia” whenever it is even mildly criticised that I dedicate this post.

Just one more question Damian, do you have any Gay friends and how do you reconcile Islam’s  murderous attitude towards  homosexuality with those friends?
