Laughing at the new Inquisition

So  true it hurts Comrades

Mike Carlton’s Career suicide bombing via twitter

tele-header1-660x440

You  just  got to love crap like this:

In a letter to the Fairfax chief executive, Greg Hywood, and editor-in-chief, Darren Goodsir, the Australian National Imams Council, Islamic Council of New South Wales and Muslim Legal Network New South Wales, among others, said they would boycott the Sydney Morning Herald unless the outspoken columnist was reinstated.

Carlton quit the Herald on Wednesday after being told he would be suspended for the language he used when replying to readers who objected to an article he wrote discussing the conflict in Gaza. The editor-in-chief of the SMH and Sun-Herald, Darren Goodsir, said Carlton had used “inappropriate and offensive language” – not in the column, but in his responses to readers.

In Saturday’s Sydney Morning Herald, Carlton’s column was replaced by one by author and columnist John Birmingham.

The letter to Fairfax said the Muslim groups would consider notifying community organisations and spokespersons to cease cooperating with Fairfax journalists for media interviews.

“As representatives of the Muslim community we have always regarded Fairfax to be one the more balanced media organisations in the country and where possible we have co-operated with your journalists on countless stories,” it said.

“But with the resignation of Mr Carlton from your publications we have now lost one of the very few voices advocating for the Palestinian cause in the country.”

A media campaign targeting Fairfax advertisers was also being considered, the groups said.

Lets face it Mike Carlton has always been a rather nasty piece of work in the boorish leftard mould and it was his boorishness that has cause Fairfax to give him the opportunity to resign. He forgot the most important thing in public life which is no matter how nasty your interlocutors may be one has to maintain a certain level of decorum and you certainly don’t publicly abuse them on twitter or any other forum.

As for the threat to boycott Fairfax from the   “the Australian National Imams Council, Islamic Council of New South Wales and Muslim Legal Network New South Wales, et al” I can’t help thinking that the only significant thing about these groups is their overly grandiose titles and inflated notions of their own self importance. Honestly who could possibly care if they won’t talk to Fairfax?  I ‘m sure that the Fairfax editors are laughing into their Lattes this morning at such an impotent attempt at blackmail.

As for Carlton anyone want to give me odds that he will soon be embraced by that leader in apologia for Islam, The Guardian, sooner rather than later? After all it is where all of the otherwise washed up hard left Journos all seem to end up.

I told you there would be nothing but “confusion and delay”

Labor’s NBN is damned by the latest review:

“By contrast, with NBN Mark I, the public policy process for developing NBN Mark II was rushed, chaotic and inadequate,” it says.

The plan got just 11 weeks’ consideration and “there is no evidence that a full range of options was seriously considered”.

“There was no business case or any cost-benefit analysis, or independent studies of the policy undertaken, with no clear operating instructions provided to this completely new government business enterprise, within a legislative and regulatory framework still undefined, and without any consultation with the wider community,” the report says.

In other findings, the audit says full cabinet did not consider the policy until very early on the April 2009 morning it was announced, and its role was to “rubber-stamp” a decision by the strategic priorities and budget committee of cabinet.

It also revealed that public servants had “difficulty” in having their “voice” heard on many of the most important policy matters related to Labor’s NBN policy, often finding their advice was ignored or that they were excluded from contributing.

Ah How I remember the many minions of the left were singing the praises of the NBN MK2, the problem for them was/is that what they were really praising was the idea and the dream of super-fast internet even though the reality had turned into a nightmare of confusion and delay that would vex any engine.

@ShutUpIain shuts up shop, or another cowardly scumbag caught out

There are days when you just have too look out of your window and be thankful for the sunshine , well to day is such a day because I have just managed to get a stalker off my back. This creep set up a twitter with the lovely Tittle of @  This scumbag has been harassing me with this little stalking horse since March.

It was not Twitter support that took down the page it was me posting this tweet:

Yes Comrades it was just another example of  how certain people think that being anonymous on the net gives them License  to stalk and harass  people.  Now were I to be a vengeful man I might, at this point be tempted to name this creep, which could well ruin his life, destroy his small business and frankly bring utter havoc into his life, Believe me the temptation to do so is really  really strong because this is not the first time I have had to deal with his creepy obsession with me. I have actually banned him form commenting here under three or four different pseudonyms but he just keeps coming back to try it on again and again.

Well I won’t beat around the bush @  next time you try this sort of crap on I won’t hold back , I won’t think twice about how making you own your bile I won’t care if my revelations might hurt your family, I will name you very publicly and I will make a complaint to the appropriate authorities about you stalking me, your nasty online behavior will come back to haunt you and you will think that your life has become a Stephen King Novel without a happy ending.

Am I making myself absolutely clear @?  Just go away and live your life in peace without ever trying to comment at my blog, or attacking  me elsewhere. Frankly you should just go away from anywhere on the net that I frequent and just pray that I never find you harassing me again because there will be no more chances, no more compassion for you and you tiny insignificant life so think twice and then think twice again before you try to harass me because you WILL regret it.

That is a promise!

I truly hope that I never have to write this sort of post again I am just so sick of all of the old blog war stuff which is in internet terms very ancient history indeed sometimes a man  has just got to make the journey and fight the good fight even when they don’t really want to.

Pete given a dose of the naughty slipper

Regular Readers may recall my posts here about Slippery Pete, some may even remember certain people defending the wine loving political poser

He was found guilty in the ACT Magistrates Court on Monday, and is due to be sentenced on September 22.

Chief Magistrate Lorraine Walker found Slipper had acted dishonestly when he used the vouchers to pay for the three trips, and that he had knowingly caused a risk of loss to the Commonwealth.

Isn’t it  nice to see that he has now been found guilty and I can’t help wonder what his fate will be on September 22? I tend to think that the usual rubric of sentencing for such things will not see him receiving a custodial  sentence my best guess is that he will get a good behavior bond. which in layman’s terms  means that he will have “got off”.  Given his political career is well and truly over he will very soon return to his well earned obscurity.

Murdering a song, or Aunties high crimes and misdemeanors

You would be hard pressed to find anyone who love the ABC less than I do but I’m going to tell you that I don’t know about this latest Chanel promotion using a mutilated version of “Throw your arms around me”

You see my problem is that the original song is just so good, its the perfect song of love and longing as far as I am concerned  and it seems like blasphemy to not only use it for a commercial purpose (admittedly for the ABC) but to also change its entire narrative with a namby-pamby “feel good” social message.

Or am I just being too precious here?

Scoring one for the good guys

Managed to get another one up on QandA last night, first one for a while:

As my most obsessive  fan was having the night off he will undoubtedly be spitting chips that he missed it.

My learned friend on the other hand was all over it like a rash… ah that brings back memories

Ian Thorpe finally admits he swims for the other team, nobody is surprised, cares or thinks that it matters at all

As one of those who does not care who fucks who as long as the fucking is all mutually consensual and all of the fuckers are adults I can’t help thinking  with the admission for Ian Thorpe that he swims for the other team “why the lies and bullshit Mr Thorpe?

Back in the spotlight: Ian Thorpe.

Back in the spotlight: Ian Thorpe.

After years of dismissing speculation about his sexuality, Ian Thorpe has revealed he is gay.

Thorpe made the admission in a tell-all interview with Sir Michael Parkinson, News Corp reports.

The interview, which will air on Sunday night on Channel Ten, has been described by Sir Michael as one he had wanted to do for a long time.

“Ian Thorpe has always been near the top of my list to interview. The reasons are obvious. Not many athletes can claim to be the best of all time. Ian can.”

Before he retired for the first time at the age of 24, Thorpe broke 22 world records and won five gold and three silver medals and one bronze medal at the Olympic Games.

But despite his success in the pool, Thorpe’s career has been plagued with persistent rumours about his sexuality.

In his 2012 autobiography, This is Me, Thorpe confronted the speculation head-on: ”For the record, I am not gay and all my sexual experiences have been straight. I’m attracted to women, I love children and aspire to have a family one day … I know what it’s like to grow up and be told what your sexuality is, then realising that it’s not the full reality. I was accused of being gay before I knew who I was.”

The way that we put any gormless athlete who can run jump or swim better than other people up on a such a high pedestal is really incredibly tedious. These meat heads are not the sort of inspirations that I think are very good for the young people who are our future. Anyway its obvious to me that the reason that Ian Thorpe consistently lied about which team he swims for was all about the almighty dollar because he thought or was advised that he would be less valuable to sell breakfast cereals as a Gay athlete than he was as a straight one. Now that he has lost much of his previous golden shine coming out provides another chance to get a whole new payday from his shallow celebrity. I would be very surprised if this latest interview to be aired tonight is not going to put money in to Thorpe’s budgie smugglers. Does anyone seriously think that we won’t see a media blitz from this washed up swimmer in the women’s magazines, the Gay media will be delighted to have a new icon to deify and all of this will feed into Thorpe’s budgie smuggler stash.  Does anyone want to bet that it won’t be long before Thorpe becomes the poster boy for all of the elements for the Gay agenda?  Ah the cult of celebrity ain’t it the epitome of the vacuousness of the 24/7 media cycle  that is eternally sucking up any issue or person  who will keep the masses addicted to its electronic heroin.
