Colly wobbles, Prime Ministerial junkets and divine justice

While Michele Gratten gets terribly excited about a rather small faux pas from Tony Abbott  we hear the news that Julia Gillard has had to drop out of a lunch meeting in New York due to an “upset stomach”:

Well apart from the rather nasty thought that Kevin Rudd may have a mole in the PM’s catering staff who has taken up the use of “chemical enhancements” to further Brother Number One’s come back ambitions I can’t help thinking that there is some sort of divine justice in Gillard coming down with tummy troubles because she has been giving the whole country a gut ache ever since she drew out her assassin’s blade and dispatched the very dear (to some) Brother Number One.

Oh c’mon Iain — Abbits just a wabbit! And a wowdy webel waising one at that!!
I can’t believe that Grattan is actually sticking the boot into Tony given her conservative bias. Maybe like most women she’s finally realised what a nasty little misogynist he really is!

  2. Iain Hall says:

What you forget, or perhaps its just a Freudian slip on your part is that in every encounter with that waskly wabbitt its Elmer Fudd who comes out the loser…

    👿

It’s Colliwobbles, Iain, not Collywobbles; derived from the belief that AFL team Collingwood gets the wobbles at finals time.

    Hence Colli – wobbles.

There endeth the footy lesson (Btw, the Grand Final is coming up – you up for it, Iain?).

Probably stress and anxiety I rekon as the realisation of the economy starts to hit the home fronts news pages. Even SA is slipping the destroyers clutches.

I guess Joolia just didn’t have the guts for it. You know, to tell the UN how well she is governing Australia. She couldn’t lie that brazenly.

  6. Iain Hall says:

Gee Ray I might be tempted to watch the game who is it between this year?

  7. Ray Dixon says:

It’s Sydney v Hawthorn, Iain, and even though Hawthorn are a Vic team I’m barracking for and tipping Sydney. Can’t stand Hawthorn – they’re only slightly less despicable than Collingwood. Anyway should be a great game between 2 very tough sides.

  8. deknarf says:

No for Abbit the Wabbit it was Kevin Rudd, and he’s gone! 😉

I liked this comment in the SMH

Two grand finals: AFL – sparkling, thrilling, unpredictable, elegant; NRL – a boring old grunt and grind with a bit of ear-biting thrown in, ugh.
No wonder AFL is taking over.
