Another Monday morning and another Doctor’s appointment, but I don’t want to dwell on that today instead I want to direct readers to Matt Hayden’s report on the Perth anti- CHOGM / occupy protest its actaully a very witty post with some amusing pictures like these:

The doe-eyed babe shown sassily speaking truth to power was undeniably striking. Would I see such a graceful and feisty creature prancing among the Occupy Perth, anti-CHOGM throng? Sadly, no. It seems that at the typical leftist watering hole there are no gazelles, only, er, wildebeest. (Click for source)

"I must admit that I was keen to join these brave cyberspace warriors and become a hero too!But how could I do that if I didn't know who they were? " (Click for source)
Its certainly worth a look for a laugh if you are sensible and a lamentation if you are of the left and I have no doubt that Derek Sapphire would be totally horrified that these brave eco-warriors are being so rightfully mocked here by Matthew Hayden.
Oh the humanity Comrades
I’d love to hear Derek Sapphire’s take on the Occupy protest. Come to that, Sock Puppet would probably have a few things to say too.
Yeah GD there is some truth in that 😉
Well, GD and Iain, actually I was there. I was not to be seen in any of the appalling Mr Hayden’s shots because I saw him stalking the community before he saw me. I knew if I were to have warned any of the peaceful protestors about his malicious intentions as he approached them he would surely have photographed me as well. I just didn’t want to give him the satisfaction. So I laid low, so to speak.
Of course he just went for the cheap, nasty put down and gag. He couldn’t see the big picture at all. That’s the problem with conservatives, they’re so literal minded.
Also he didn’t get the intentional irony in so many of the signs. It might surprise him to know that many of the protestors do actually know how to spell correctly, for example. They just choose not to do so as a way of subverting the dominant paradigm.
Well thanks for your report Derek and I would love to hear you expand upon this report
Yes, Derek, I expected you to outline the reasons behind the protest, the moral issues involved, the conservation aspect and a nod to Gaia. Also a photo of you fine self prancing amongst the buckets of sh*t, and plies of rubbish that these faux protesters have so far accumulated.
Iain and GD, I would like to be able to explain our motivations, and the many visionary plans that we formulated for the transformation of society. However quite frankly I don’t think the effort to do this would be worth it. You would be incapable of understanding this information, and also deeply afraid of what it would mean for society.
One consequence, for example, would be that you and your ilk in the mainstream media (hello News Ltd) would not dominate that paradigm as you do now. Considering how much value you put on controlling the thoughts of the great unloofahed, I think you’d find that possibility far too threatening. So, out of consideration for your feelings, that’s all I’ll say on the matter.
