Ouch!!

A BRISBANE nurse says she suffered serious burns and blistering when a beauty salon botched her Brazilian wax treatment.

Elaine, 31, who asked for her surname not to be published, said she left the salon at Ashgrove in Brisbane part-way through the treatment with hot wax still stuck to her upper thighs and intimate areas.

“I was in shock. I felt absolutely violated,” said Elaine, who intends to complain to the Office of Fair Trading and Brisbane City Councillor Andrew Wines. “I was burnt and I peeled for a week or two afterwards.”

The Queensland Injury Surveillance Unit says at least 20 people suffered a waxing-related injury between 2004 and 2007, some as a result of Brazilians gone wrong.

What can one say but Ouch? Oh yeah and to suggest that pain and pleasure are closely related…

This is about as meaningful as your McMuffin post, which looking at this picture actually reminds me of.

  2. Iain Hall says:

Mark it’s called light and shade mate something amusing rather than deep and meaningful

  3. Mark L. says:

‘Light and shade’ will be the colour of my bruises if my wife sees a pic like that on my computer screen again.

  4. Iain Hall says:

    Mark
Is she some kind of a prude or something?

  5. LL says:

Wow. Meaningless posts attributing all the worlds ills to the mysterious “left”.
    Bad spelling.
    Misguided assumptions.
    Racism.
And now, a charming close up picture of a chick’s clacker.

    You’re all class, mate

  6. kg says:

Oh no! You’ve failed to live up to LL’s high standards, Iain!
Better give up this blogging business immediately. After all, someone who refers to that pic as “a close up picture of a chick’s clacker” is so obviously an arbiter of taste, non?

  7. Iain Hall says:

You are neither obliged to read my blog or comment here But I will say this I write in this blog everyday and sometimes I write serious stuff and some times I write things that are more flippant , this is an example of the latter and as the topic is the waxing of a woman’s vulva gone wrong the illustration is entirely apt.
While I freely acknowledge my spelling is not naturally good I make extraordinary efforts to compensate for that and as for racism, one of my more serious themes here is to denounce and oppose it even when it comes from an ethnic or religious minority.
Finally I think that the young lady in the picture has a very nice “clacker” 🙂
Now you have a nice day now OK?

  8. Mark L. says:

I don’t mind the pic so much but your blog might need an ‘MA’ rating, I wouldn’t want my kids seeing it.
No surprise that KG should pop up in a thread about bald twats either.

  9. kg says:

🙂 well, Mark, at least I have a wife who isn’t so insecure she needs to monitor my viewing habits, much less resort to physical violence to enforce some puritanical notion of ownership, you poor sad bastard.

  10. Iain Hall says:

    Mark
I once did one of those “rate your blog” things and this Blog got an “R” rating …

  11. Mark L. says:

KG, I’m sure your wife bites her tongue and knows what’s good for her.

Iain, given that you don’t really swear and your blog isn’t about porn or snuff movies, I’m not sure how you deserved the ‘R’ rating. Lefty censors maybe? 😉

  12. Iain Hall says:

The explanation was that It discusses suicide and capital punishment..
