Gillard & Abbott under attack … from the police!

I think they'd have been safer with the aborigines (click on image to enlarge)

What a bizarre thing to happen on Australia Day:

Dozens of police have escorted Julia Gillard and Tony Abbott from a Canberra restaurant that had been surrounded by angry protesters from the nearby Aboriginal Tent Embassy.

The Prime Minister stumbled as she was rushed to an awaiting vehicle and was helped up by police who were confronted by the protesters.

It appears the mob was incensed by remarks made by Mr Abbott earlier in the day in which he said he thought it was probably time to reconsider the relevance of the embassy.

The protesters gathered outside the restaurant near Old Parliament House where Ms Gillard was handing out medals to emergency services representatives. Mr Abbott was also inside the building.

At least 50 police, including the riot squad, were called to the scene shortly after 2.30pm (AEDT). The protesters, involved in an event to mark the 40th anniversary of the embassy, banged on the three glass sides of the restaurant chanting “shame” and “racist”.

The two leaders, protected by police and security officers, escaped out a side door after about 20 minutes. Protesters chased their car down the road, banging on its roof and bonnet.

There had been false reports that the Prime Minister had been tackled. Ms Gillard’s office confirmed she slipped as she was leaving the building.

Words fail me. Not over the incident but over the groping of the PM.

Abbott took it like a man though – have a look at him in the photos, he’s scared shitless!

Our fearless leaders.

  1. Just saw this. It looks as if the federal police surrounded them and hustled them into a car to protect them from… other federal police. There wasn’t a “protester” within about three metres of them at any point.
Massive over reaction by the AFP and yet another media beat up.

  2. I think the protesters proved their irrelevance. Well done to Abbott for making the right call.

  3. No TOI it was very nearly a “beat up” of our most senior political figures which is totally unacceptable under an notion of a sane democracy and It would be nice if you could just acknowledge that for once instead of just assuming that the cops were over reacting.

  4. I have watched the footage on the news and again on the internet, Iain. Have you? It seems not. Or perhaps you just want it to be worse than it actually was, so you can beat up on a few Aboriginals (again).

The footage shows an old bloke on the stairs and a couple of other protesters further away. Otherwise there was not a protester within cooee of Gillard and Abbott from the time they left the building to when they were in the cars. Why the police felt the need to cover, cuddle, hustle and manhandle them is beyond me. But it was indignifying for both leaders.

The protesters were noisy, unruly and poorly behaved but the whole thing is a case of the AFP feeling more important than it should and the media beating it up to excess.

  5. P.S. Not sure I understand the image, or why you feel the need to use images to make some oblique point. But it comes from “troll.me” which probably says it all.

  6. The protesters were noisy, unruly and poorly behaved but the whole thing is a case of the AFP feeling more important than it should and the media beating it up to excess.

I pretty much agree with that, TOI, except I don’t see how the media have “beaten it up”. It happened, didn’t it? Anyway, I thought the police could have dispersed the protesters without the theatrics of grabbing the PM & Abbott and rushing them – secret service style – into their cars. It was most unedifying to see the PM groped that way. As for Abbott, he looked like a right dick. And he did stupidly inflame the situation. Still, I think the aborigines have set their cause back (whatever it was) by their appalling behaviour.

  7. “As for Abbott, he looked a right dick” the reason he got out of the priest-hood calling—dick! Just wait and see if he becomes PM—-it will be a political circus.

  8. I pretty much agree with that, TOI, except I don’t see how the media have “beaten it up”. It happened, didn’t it?

Yes, but as always some media like to make these things more dramatic and dangerous than they actually were. Did you see the Channel 7 news tonight? It was full of hyperbole like “day of high drama” and that Gillard and Abbott were “at serious risk” (they weren’t). It was an ugly incident but that’s all it was.
The rest of your comment is spot on. I reckon some of Gillard’s minders and AFP protective officers have been watching too many Harrison Ford movies.

  9. I wonder what other PMs would have done if the AFP had pushed and shoved them like they were on the grassy knoll and Oswald was taking potshots. Menzies would have had them all sacked. Hawke would have told them to f*** off. Keating would have said “take your hands of me you scumbag”. Rudd probably would’ve enjoyed the attention.

  10. at the end of the clip is what Tony abbot actaully said and , surprise surprise it was a most moderate and well considered comment, this whole event is a wonderful example of just how the indigenous hot heads are actually doing more harm than good for their cause. I would argue that this is because of their own racism and culture of complaint.

Hard to say it better than this example of Andrew Bolt channelling Martin Luther King:

Yet here are some concessions we’ve made to a reconciliation movement that now destroys the cause it preaches.

We’ve allowed a shambolic Aboriginal tent embassy to despoil public space in Canberra for 40 years, when we wouldn’t tolerate a (non-Aboriginal) Occupy Melbourne protest for 40 days.

We’ve formally apologised to stolen generations despite not being able to identify even 10 of the tens of thousands of Aboriginal children said to have been stolen just to breed out the colour.

We’ve held Sorry Days and marched over bridges.

We’ve (quite properly) granted Aborigines land rights, and also rights to block mining projects of huge economic benefit to all Australians.

We’ve spent billions to try to lift Aborigines out of poverty, even if an absurd fear of seeming mean has stopped us from doing what’s most needed.

We hold welcome-to-the-country ceremonies and pay respects to Aboriginal elders at government and sporting events to show our good hearts.

We’ve introduced what seems to me apartheid justice, with Koorie Courts, and had judges show extraordinary leniency to Aboriginal offenders on the grounds of their culture. (Even yesterday, ACT police assured reporters that none of those behind yesterday’s riot would be arrested.)

And now we have a government-formed committee of experts recommending new clauses in the Constitution to recognise Aborigines as a race with prior claim to this country, and offering special protections for their culture and their feelings.

Some of these things you may well support. Some you may not, because they seem to you purely tokenistic moves likely to divide us on the grounds of race, and to leave no one but activists better off.

Whatever. But ask: After all these changes hailed by the Left, why this disgraceful riot yesterday?

Why did the Prime Minister have to run for her life? Why all this fury? Protesters yesterday blamed Tony Abbott – but of course. He’d said the tent embassy perhaps should move on since a lot has changed for the better since it was set up – a perfectly rational opinion that any citizen should be free to express without needing police protection.

Indeed, all of us – me included – should be freer to speak about these matters without fear of either physical or legal attack. And this article shouldn’t have needed such cautious vetting by lawyers.

Yet one of the protesters, Michael Anderson, yesterday told the crowd that what Abbott had said amounted to inciting racial riots. Which some of the others promptly made a self-fulfilling claim by staging exactly that.

This is not reconciliation. This is instead a warning that the wrong path has been taken, leading us to deeper divisions, entrenched by laws, and with dissent punished in courts or on the streets. It means each concession, no matter how extreme, is feeding a hunger for yet more.

Let’s learn from yesterday’s shame and say no. No to the race-baiters. No to laws dividing us by race. No to those who want to shut down debate on all this.

And let’s say yes to judging each other not by the colour of our skin or the race of our ancestors, but by the content of our character. As individuals.

  11. Bolt’s diatribe is rubbish, Iain. To read him you’d think we actually have a problem in Australia with aborigines when, in reality, the only problem we have is that they’re still a poor people. Bolt is a jerk. So is Abbott.

  12. Even yesterday, ACT police assured reporters that none of those behind yesterday’s riot would be arrested.

Probably because shouting and banging on windows aren’t criminal offences in Australia or the ACT.

And now we have a government-formed committee of experts recommending new clauses in the Constitution to recognise Aborigines as a race with prior claim to this country, and offering special protections for their culture and their feelings.

They are looking at changing the preamble to recognise that indigenous were here first, that is all. It doesn’t give them any special protections or additional legal rights.

We’ve allowed a shambolic Aboriginal tent embassy to despoil public space in Canberra for 40 years, when we wouldn’t tolerate a (non-Aboriginal) Occupy Melbourne protest for 40 days.

This is the one thing I will agree with Bolt on. The tent embassy has served its political purpose and all it is now is a place to hang out. It is time for it to be shut down or moved on.

  13. Actually TOI you are wrong when you say this:

They are looking at changing the preamble to recognise that indigenous were here first, that is all. It doesn’t give them any special protections or additional legal rights.

Gillard’s review committee has suggested more extensive changes to the actual constitution rather than to just the preamble, do some research.

maybe there is some hope for you yet if you can say this:

This is the one thing I will agree with Bolt on. The tent embassy has served its political purpose and all it is now is a place to hang out. It is time for it to be shut down or moved on.

  14. Gillard’s review committee has suggested more extensive changes to the actual constitution rather than to just the preamble, do some research.

I suggest you do more research than you have. Firstly, it’s not “Gillard’s review committee”. The process was actually started under Rudd. Secondly, the government has not given any support to constitutional amendments beyond changing the preamble (again, a policy developed under Rudd.) And thirdly, it doesn’t matter what is proposed by some brainstorming committee. All proposed constitutional amendments have to be passed by the parliament and put to the people.

  15. Another pathetic beat-up based on virtually no evidence, other than unnamed callers making allegations about unnamed staffers. Razor Ray will have to do better than that.

  16. I think its most pertinent to post precisely what Tony Abbott said TOI and to invite you to explain just what is wrong with his statement:
    Photobucket

  17. Nothing at all, Iain. The reporting about Abbott’s comments was ridiculous too. He didn’t incite anything.

This whole thing is the product of poor judgements, first from the protestors (who behaved disgracefully) the AFP (who over reacted to the n-th degree) and then the media, who beat it up into some kind of race riot that threatened the lives of politicians (it was nothing like that at all). It has undermined the offices of PM and opposition leader. Now it is being beamed around the world and everyone is either laughing at us or condemning us as racist.

    Well done to all concerned.

  18. Bolt and his bloggers are having a field-day with this protest, on his blog of slime—could not help myself, go on have a peek, and see what I mean.

  19. Its the protesters who are the racists here TOI, and they have succeeded it blowing away huge amounts of good will in the process of their protest, As for the media I think they have been very measured in their reporting and more lacking in hyperbole and exaggeration.

  20. Imagine Andrew Bolt down there, handing out copies his book—’Still Not Sorry’, and asking the mob to name 10 children of the stolen generation——-now that would be interesting.

  21. Its the protesters who are the racists here TOI, and they have succeeded it blowing away huge amounts of good will in the process of their protest.

Why are they racist? Because Andrew Bolt says so? You’re the one who earlier hinted that they should be shot.
Your second point does carry some weight though.

As for the media I think they have been very measured in their reporting and more lacking in hyperbole and exaggeration.

No, the media coverage has been well over the top. Lots of errant claims about Gillard and Abbott being at risk of injury. Clearly the footage refutes that. There were no arrests, no weapons, nothing being thrown and hardly a protester within spitting distance of them (in fact there were more cameramen and photographers than protesters.)

Then there’s the famous shot of Gillard with a frightened look on her face. Of course she was frightened. Some burly security guard or AFP agent was manhandling her down a set of stairs at speed. She probably thought she was going to break her neck. And of course the papers are publishing that pic at every opportunity because it shows her as vulnerable. Disgraceful journalism.

  22. AH GEE! The British Empire was founded on racism, along with the Dutch Empire. People get very sensitive to criticism when we are told we have a racist and bigoted past. Racist ideology is so persistent because it is rooted in a material base—a society based on the exploitation of one human being by another. Ah yes the white trash of Asia—-now who said that little gem?

  23. No, but have a listen to the first thirty seconds of this interview with Michael Anderson, co-founder of the Tent Embassy.

I’d say it was stupid and extremely offensive, rather than racist. But if you qualify that comment as racist, then your own comments about Muslims aren’t too far removed GD.

It now appears Ray Hadley’s tip off was right, and that a Gillard staffer did indeed ring up and stir up the protesters. He has now resigned and rightly so. Still, not good enough on the part of the protesters, the AFP or the sensationalist media.

  24. I agree, not racist by a slither, ie sovereignty not whitey. That just goes to show how ridiculous our race laws are. The comment was stupid, extremely offensive and aimed at white Australia in a demonstration by aboriginal extremists. But no, it wasn’t racist, so no problem there.

Andrew Bolt questioning the aboriginality of a three quarter European, born and bred in white society, is however racist.

    Muslims aren’t a race.

  25. TOI

I’d say it was stupid and extremely offensive, rather than racist. But if you qualify that comment as racist, then your own comments about Muslims aren’t too far removed GD.

    Why do you say this?
I would very much like you to explain this assertion because I think its rather close to utter crap.

  26. And thanks TOI for offering that info about Hadley’s claim, which you previously derided on the basis that it was said by Hadley.

  27. The aboriginals have not put much thought into this. Paul Coe asks for sovereignty or to “piss off” out of his country. Sounds very similiar to another slogan that is labelled as racist. Our race laws are discriminatory and as GD said, ridiculous. The laws do not leave any room for a black to be considered racist, even the suggestion of it would be racist to the aboriginal community.

So we piss off out of the country. Who is going to compensate the majority of the population for the removal, infrastructure, buildings etc. Who is going to be around to fund Centrelinks coffers?

  28. Paul Coe and the tent embassy are not indicative or representative of the aboriginal community. They are a small band of extremists.

Btw, Angel, when you refer to them it’s “aborigines”, not “aboriginals”. Aboriginal is not a noun. Do get an education.

Btw #2, don’t pull the racism card. Aborigines (not aboriginals) cannot discriminate against the vast majority.

  29. What?

Aborigines….cannot discriminate against the vast majority

Racism isn’t exclusive to the majority ethnicity in a society. A few days ago a white youth was beaten up by a gang of African youths in Perth, as they beat him they called him a ‘white c*nt’.

    Isn’t that rascist?

  30. Bolt’s diatribe is rubbish, Iain. To read him you’d think we actually have a problem in Australia with aborigines when, in reality, the only problem we have is that they’re still a poor people.

No Ray, read Bolt’s words again. What we have is a problem with this divisive policy of treating people differently based on race. This approach is not achieving what it is supposed to be doing: helping the disadvantaged in society, instead it is reinforcing the idea of the victimhood of one particular race.

There are people of many races in Australia who are disadvantaged. Focusing on one race, because of the supposed white guilt of past generations is a futile and fruitless exercise. Beating ourselves up over what someone’s ancestors did to aborigines in the past, and then saying ‘sorry’ as Rudd did in 2007, achieves nothing but a continuation of the cycle of welfare dependency for disadvantaged aborigines.

Rudd’s ‘Sorry’ didn’t seem to mean much to the protesters yesterday.

  31. No GD, it’s not “rascist” (or racist, more correctly). It’s called assault. How the f*ck are you discriminated against by being called a white c*nt? How does that affect you? How does that diminish you? Racism is about the put down of minorities and the disadvantaged based on race. Any white person who claims “reverse racism” exists is just a racist themself.

  32. As for your second comment re Bolt’s diatribe, this bloke is just using the opportunity to “abo bash”. As you are. As Angel is. Bolt is a disgrace. A national disgrace. He provokes hatred.

  33. The Labor Party provoked hatred yesterday when a senior staffer alerted a spokesperson of the tent embassy of Abbott’s supposed comments and his whereabouts at a restaurant nearby. The spokesperson announced this from stage, and the fracas and media storm resulted.

It came from the Labor Party Ray.

    http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/more-news/mob-sinks-slipper-into-nations-day/story-fn7x8me2-1226254728520

I’m not ‘abo bashing’, I’m criticising leftist and Labor policies regarding the indigenous, ridiculous ‘race’ laws’ and the curtailing of freedom of speech.

  34. Am I alone in waiting for some quick witted and skilled video editor to change “The Body Guard” trailer to feature the PM and her security attachment?

  35. The advisor was sacked for that. He wasn’t acting on behalf of the Labor Party with that stupid action. Just the way you have now focused on “Labor policies regarding the indigenous, ridiculous ‘race’ laws’ and the curtailing of freedom of speech” is proof positive that you are out to “abo bash” here, GD. As Bolt did in his provocative, unneccessary and hate-inspired piece of crap in today’s HSun. This incident was unfortunate but it in no way reflects on the indigenous community at large or on the Government’s policies. Stop “abo bashing”, GD.

  36. Ray, where did Bolt provoke hatred?

And once again, I am bashing the unworkable, and proven unworkable policies regarding the indigenous of the Labor Party.

  37. For Christ’s sake, GD, a small & unrepresentative group of aborigines gets out of control and Bolt takes that as an opportunity to lambast the entire aboriginal race and current policies … in a national newspaper. Just like you are doing. His (and your) eagerness to “abo bash” is the point here, GD.

  38. He, and I, haven’t lambasted the ‘entire aboriginal race’.

What we are lambasting, and you’re refusing to address, are the useless welfare policies which have done little to help disadvantaged aborigines. Couple that with this new proposal to give them special privileges in the constitution, and you have a two-tiered society, and one which will confine disadvantaged aborigines to lives of welfare for years and create division in society.

Can you address that instead of crying ‘abo bashing’ each time?

  39. Why do you say this? I would very much like you to explain this assertion because I think its rather close to utter crap.

I think a lot of your comments are “utter crap” Iain, but I don’t ask you to explain them all. Check the context of the discussion and you should be able to understand.

And thanks TOI for offering that info about Hadley’s claim, which you previously derided on the basis that it was said by Hadley.

No, I derided it on the basis that it was said by Hadley based on unnamed sources. If it had been Laurie Oakes citing unnamed sources, I’d have been a lot bit more (though not entirely) willing to accept it.

Racism isn’t exclusive to the majority ethnicity in a society. A few days ago a white youth was beaten up by a gang of African youths in Perth, as they beat him they called him a ‘white c*nt’.

I actually agree with you there GD. I have seen racist remarks against whites before. The one that indigenous people throw around is ‘gubbah’, which means something along the lines of what the African thugs used. Racism is not exclusive to one race or the dominant race. There may be significant differences in where this racism comes from though.

  40. GD, go back and read the post. This is about a security threat involving the PM and the opposition leader. It’s not about the whole aboriginal issue, which you (and Bolt) have attempted to turn it into. The incident is not indicative or of relevance to the wider indigenous issues, yet you (and Bolt) are attempting to say it is. And that is most definitely “abo bashing”. You don’t get to shift the goalposts here, buddy. Not on my watch.

  41. Ray has his dictionary out tonight, isn’t that getting a bit petty.

Racism is rampant amongst minority groups.
As too is small town ignorance.

Ray Dixon on January 27, 2012 at 8:30 am said:

“…you’d think we actually have a problem in Australia with aborigines when, in reality, the only problem we have is that they’re still a poor people..”

  42. Nice State Of Affairs! The Herald Sun’s pin-up boy—–self-pity, Andrew Bolt has been let off the leash again, to slime the Aboriginal Race. What can I say? F### Him.

  43. I don’t need a dictionary to know the difference between a noun and an adjective, Angel. And I can’t help it if you think aborigines are “aboriginals”. Thanks for quoting me, although your point in doing that was …? Couldn’t think of one, huh?

  44. Pingback: Julia Gillard’s shoe and the prospects of the other foot | Iain Hall's SANDPIT

  45. My point was you said the only problem Australia has with Aborigines is that they are still a poor people. Only ignorance and believing one-sided reporting would gve you that belief. Why is it that I will not be recognised as one? More to it than being labelled as poor. What you state cannot be from experience or first-hand knowledge.

  46. But they ARE still a poor people, Angel. Every census, every study and every statistic bears that out. How can you put that all down to “one sided reporting”? Where are the studies or information that argue Aborigines are on a par or better off than non-Aborigines?

(And please don’t refer to Andrew Bolt. He is about as credible on this issue as Rene Rivkin was on giving sound financial advice.)

  47. My point was you said the only problem Australia has with Aborigines is that they are still a poor people. Only ignorance and believing one-sided reporting would gve you that belief.

No, I would say that taking a keen interest in the topic and having a fairly clear-thinking head would be the main reasons I hold that opinion, Angel. You see, of course there are problems among the aborigines (bad seeds, etc), just as there are problems among all other people. But the main problem is their low socio-economic status caused by decades & decades of displacement and lack of opportunity.

You clearly don’t understand how a group of people that are born into such poor conditions can become so entrenched in it that they find it difficult, if not impossible, to rise above it. That’s why we give them special assistance – you know, the type of assistance you resent them having – so that hopefully, one day they will have equal opportunity and no longer need our help.

You just look at them and their disposition (which I concede looks, on the surface, to be self inflicted in many cases) and say “They are the problem”. I, on the other hand, look at ignorant & prejudiced people like you and say, “You are the problem”.

  48. Abbott’s error was suggesting that all the work has been done in terms of Australia’s reconciliation with its Indigenous community and that we should all just ‘move on’. He did NOT acknowledge that there are very real and tangible issues to resolve. This was his error, and for this reason he’s deserving of contempt.

Ray, may I point out that the caption ‘I think they’d have been safer with the aborigines’ has more than a whiff of racisim to it.

  49. the caption ‘I think they’d have been safer with the aborigines’ has more than a whiff of racisim to it.

    Huh? That’s crap.

    Explain, Nigel.

  50. Okay, no explanation of your extraordinary accusation forthcoming, I see Nigel? Here is my lesson to you in semantics:

When I said “they’d be safer with the aborigines” I meant (clearly and unambiguosly) that in my opinion, the protestors would NOT have harmed either Gillard or Abbott. That they would not have manhandled them and dragged them down the stairs or done anything other than make a lot of noise and behave in a threatening manner (which is what they did).

How you can construe that as “racism” is beyond me.

It’s also beyond me that you would accuse someone who, on this blog, is constantly at war with those who do make disparaging and often racist comments about aborigines. Even in this very thread that you commented on! Perhaps scroll up before you make such insulting and incorrect accusations?

  51. Ray, a capital A to the word Aborigines would denote respect. Using the term ‘Indigenous people’ would be inclusive of all the different communities. Being careful to avoid linking the protestors to being a violent mob would also help.

  52. Nigel, with respect (not that you deserve it here):

Your accusations (that I am somehow racist against aborigines, despite years & years of posts and comments to the contrary) are not only pedantic and insulting they are:

    FUCKING RIDICULOUS.

    Enough capitals for you?

  53. Well it’s not the place for irrational interpretations of harmless captions, Nigel. Although there is a fair bit of irrationality around here when the wingnuts come out to play.

  54. Ray, what all this shows is the hyper-sensitivity of the issue. And, taking it back to the original event, it’s Abbott’s insensitivity and lack of higher-plane thinking – or putting it an other way, his insistence in stoking the flames of what, regrettably, is at the core of our country, that’s at fault here. Which is that he thinks that we all wish the whole Indigenous issue would just go away.

  55. No, Nigel. I agree that Abbott is lacking in his attitude to aborigines (sorry, Aborigines) and that, as he’s a Liberal, it’s unlikely he’ll see the issue clearly. However, in this particular case, he is not to blame. The protestors went over-the-top. They’re not representative of the wider indigenous community but, by their actions, have damaged that cause.

    END.
    OF.
    STORY.

  56. While the media at large ignores the fact that Labor flunkies not only built the fire for this conflagration, but also lit the match, and while the ABC still tries to pin the whole debacle on Tony Abbott, despite the evidence, this lone journo over at News Ltd, quietly tells it as it is.

The feral rabble infesting the so-called Tent Embassy camped on the lawn opposite Old Parliament House (OPH) has performed a great public service. They have effectively killed any constitutional change enshrining affirmative action for those who self-identify as Aboriginal Australians.

    http://blogs.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/piersakerman/index.php/dailytelegraph/comments/lies_myths_and_the_great_tent_tantrum/

  57. GD

    1. That “feral rabble” have been there for around 40 years and there has been little or no progress since. In fact in terms of life expectancy things have actually gone backwards.

    2. I presume that the author (and you) were fully in favour of constitution change until those n****** got a bit too “uppitty” and ruined everything by shouting loudly

Am I right? Don’t BS me. You were never in favour of change. Your comments recently on the other thread about that change make that clear.

    3. “self identify”. Disadvantage goes a bit deeper than self identification mate. On occasion I “self identify” as Irish as my ancestors were Irish. But being raised “touched with the tar brush” has a more serious effect on your prospects than occasionally being called an “Irish git”.

  58. Ray, how can you say that Abbott is not to blame? Draw a timeline and you’ll see that it all starts with Abbott’s refusal to say that there’s more work to do, and he did this when there was one of the most important celebrations happening down in Canberra.

PS You’ll never silence me with ‘END OF STORY’ tricks.

  59. You’ll never silence me with ‘END OF STORY’ tricks

I wasn’t trying to silence you, Nigel. It means ‘end of story’ … from me. You do seem to have difficulty with semantics, old chum.

  60. Iain, I’m fully aware of what Abbott said; I’ve read it numerous times. However, my two key points remain: Abbott didn’t respect the sensitive context of the 40th anniversary of the Tent Embassy; and he didn’t – in any way – recognise that there’s much more work to do.

Any fair-minded, reasonable, rational Australian knows that there are big challenges ahead for how we as a country improve the conditions of Indigenous Australians, and any leader who wants to take control of the country should be able to encourage us all to accept reality and to work together to resolve this. He declind not to do this; in fact I’m convinced that he doesn’t have it in him to rise above popularist politics.

(Ray, I respectfully suggest it’s you who seems to have a problem with the details of the English language.)

  61. (Ray, I respectfully suggest it’s you who seems to have a problem with the details of the English language.)

Nigel, when you label my innocuous caption as “racism”, and when I sign off a comment with ‘End of story’ and you think it’s directed at you, then I respectfully suggest you have got it all arse up, mate.

  62. A comment made on another blog…

To save a confrontation with the residents of the tent embassy it should be pulled down while they are all at work.

  63. I don’t think you want the link, it’s just to a comment from one of Andrew Bolt’s many eloquent and lucid commenters….

  64. You worry me, Ray. You sound so rational, so intelligent, so grounded in reality and yet you support the dark side. Maybe as Iain did, you’ll convert later in life. It’s not too late!

  65. I’m older than Iain and my anti-Liberal stance is set in stone, from the the Vietnam war days.

I live by this: NEVER. TRUST. A. LIBERAL.

  66. You reckon a person should trust Labor??

Let’s agree to disagree, and maybe in your dotage, you’ll come to see the truth…a death bed conversion perhaps…you’ve still got time Ray…

  67. I will never grow so old and senile that I would turn redneck wingnut, GD. My partner and my kids have been given specific instructions including:

    * No retirement homes/aged care/nursing homes.
    * At the first sign of senility (you know, if I say something like “hey, that Tony Abbott’s not a bad bloke”), take me outside and shoot me.
    * I refuse to be buried in a mint green shirt – too conservative.

  68. Your partner? why can’t you say your wife?

My mum has told us kids similar, as soon as she goes batty, take her out and shoot her, no nursing homes….

She’ll never go so batty as to vote Labor, so I don’t have to worry about that….

  69. Your partner? why can’t you say your wife?

that’s what I asked. How about instead of baiting me you answer my question on Leon’s thread.

  70. I wasn’t baiting you, GD. You asked an irrelevant question and you got an irrelevant answer. Nothing to answer you on Leon’s post – your anti-aborigine stance speaks for itself. Besides, Jeremy is there now.

  71. Well off you go, and debate him…at least that should be easy…..he is arguing semantics about a riot that happened in Canberra…the Greens really have got a grasp on reality…..

  72. You can always sense the excitement from Iain, Ray and Leon whenever Jeremy responds to their trolling and comments here.

  73. TOI

I have lost count of the number of times that Jeremy has declared that he would N-E-V-E-R comment here again but it is pleasant to take him on when he does. Frankly you have a rather strange idea of what constitutes “trolling” Our learned friend is a minor internet celebrity who is Paid by Crikey and much loved by the Latte sippers and as such his writing is fair game as a topic. But more importantly he has an uncanny ability to not only to put his foot in his mouth sometimes but also a foolish tenacity to keep arguing for his case even when it is well and truly untenable.(look at his desire to return asylum seeker boats to people smugglers to encourage then to run a safer service as an example)

  74. Our learned friend is a minor internet celebrity

Very minor, I would have thought. And is he really paid by Crikey? I’d be interested to know for what, and how much. To paraphrase Billy Joel, “He’s always a blogger to me”.

And you can always sense the excrement whenever TOI comments here.

How old are you again Ray… five?

  75. is he really paid by Crikey? I’d be interested to know for what, and how much

Looking for a gig, TOI? You should submit some pieces, seeing that your own ‘blog of angst, bile and invective’ was such a raging success. Or you could just go to SW and copy some of the crap you’ve written over there. Quickly though, before it disappears.

How old are you again Ray… five?

Old enough to know when someone has self-pwned.

  76. A quick visit to TOI’s ‘blog of angst, bile & invective’, otherwise known as Broken Left Leg, that he abandoned over 2 years ago (“My job is done”, he said … LMAO) reveals the massive popularity he enjoyed over, what, 4 or 5 years? Here’s the comment count for the last 10 posts: 1, 0, 0, 1, 2, 1, 2, 0, 1, 6 (and that was his farewell post in which all his friends said, “good riddance”).

    Comedy gold: http://brokenleftleg.blogspot.com/

  77. At least your blog is fulfilling a valuable community service, Ray – it’s stopping you from being elected to council.

  78. Do you have Alzheimers, TOI? I told you yesterday that I will continue to “bother you” every time you come here and hang shit on others. Scroll up (hint: use the little arrows at the side) and you’ll see who “started the argument” today. Oh, I realise you’re too dimwitted to work it out so here it is:

    Self-pwned again.

At least your blog is fulfilling a valuable community service, Ray – it’s stopping you from being elected to council.

That’s the first sort-of correct analysis you’ve made. Only you should have put it in the past tense – “it stopped me from being elected …”. You’ll have to brush up on your comprehension & grammar skills if you want a gig @ Crikey, TOI.

  79. Anyway, I have work to do, TOI. No, not changing sheets – we have cleaners to do that. And we hire fresh linen in at every (very frequent) changeover. You’d wash your own, I guess, seeing your occupancy is what, about 10%?. That means they’d get washed about twice a year I guess. I’ll catch up with you later … in the spin-dry cycle.

  80. Do you have Alzheimers, TOI?

I think if anyone here has a mental disorder, Ray, it’s the person living closest to Mount Bogong.

I told you yesterday that I will continue to “bother you” every time you come here and hang shit on others.

So in other words… as soon as I take issue, argue with or have a dig at someone else, you’re going to pup up like a yelping little chihuaha and start abusing and ranting st**king, other sites and blogs, real names, and whatever other fleas happen to be in your undies.

In other words, you’re going to behave like a whiny little fascist prick. It’s Iain’s blog but you’ll decide who can say what and when.

You really are a joke Ray. I have had my issues with Iain, he can act like a jerk occasionally but most of the time he’s straight up, fair and honest. You on the other hand are one step out of the asylum.

  81. And we hire fresh linen in at every (very frequent) changeover. You’d wash your own, I guess, seeing your occupancy is what, about 10%?

Ah yes, another typically childish and idiotic Dixon jibe. So far we have:

    “I’m smarter than you”
“My motel is full and yours is crap”
“My sheets are cleaner than yours”

Can’t be too long now before we hear “My dick is bigger than yours” and “My wife partner is better looking than yours”.

  82. I can’t resist it. One more wind-up and I’m off.

    Yes:

I’m smarter than you – and so is the entire sheltered workshop @ Ocean Grove.

My motel modernised, self-contained holiday apartments are very popular, while your fibro holiday shack is probably only ever rented by a few surfers on the dole. Do you provide bongs?

My sheets would definitely be cleaner than yours – I mean, you really should update from flannel.

I have no desire to compare dicks or partners though. I’ll leave you to wallow in the gutter talk.

  83. One more wind-up and I’m off.

    Promises promises!

    I’m smarter than you

Of course you are, Ray. Of course you are. There there.

My motel modernised, self-contained holiday apartments are very popular

I don’t doubt it. The grey oblong look is very popular with minimalists and ex-Soviet personnel who hark back to the days of Magnitogorsk, concrete bunkers and cold/cold running water. Do you get any bookings from Chernobyl? If so then I expect you’d have a lot in common to chat about.

Your fibro holiday shack is probably only ever rented by a few surfers on the dole. Do you provide bongs?

No, you’ll have to bring your own. Though I advise against smoking weed while on anti depressants Ray.

My sheets would definitely be cleaner than yours

    Trip Advisor begs to differ.

  84. Oh, it worked again. You just stuck your foot in it again, TOI.

    “Bunkers” “Trip Advisor”

I’d be pretty sure you put that malicious review there. And then there’s the now deleted (for violation of TOS) copycat blog. You’re a champ, mate. You don’t get it do you? You keep interfering in others’ personal lives and business and then you cry foul when someone has a go back (with mockery, not with abuse and defamation like you indulge in). You need a shrink, mate. Pronto. Now piss off – I’m busy.

  85. I think t01 has bigger problems than reviews of his shack Ray.
t01 has been a naughty boy in the past and so his blog was shut. Self pwned is the word.

    http://www.slattsnews.observationdeck.org/?p=1908

Not withstanding that, t01′s actually scored more runs than he got votes as a green.

His “Adventure” business must be going well if he’s got time to sit at home in the summer months and snipe on the net. Either that or the Coast shire office doors don’t have glass in them and his boss can’t see that he’s using the public’s PC to stalk, bully and snipe.

  86. I’d be pretty sure you put that malicious review there

Why, because I’ve seen it? LOL

And then there’s the now deleted (for violation of TOS) copycat blog

And I did that too huh? Double LOL

Do you seriously think I have nothing better to do with myself that create crap like that to annoy a zero-sum personality like you? I’m only commenting here now because I’m waiting for a delivery. As for Ray it’s…. “OK I’m going now” “I’m really going…” “I’m going to say this then I’m going…” “Oh piss off, I’m busy”. That’s how obsessed you are about having the last word.

You are a credit to your species – egotisti blowhardus motelier

  87. As I post that, my delivery has arrived. So I won’t be able to respond to your bollocks anymore Ray. You’ll notice my absence because I’ll actually be absent. But you can rant and rave to your deluded heart’s content while I’m going.

  88. They are not denials, TOI. Careful, you’re giving yourself away again. Anyway, I was going to save this for later but, what the hell, I’ll do it now:

TOI, over the past few days you have come out (under pressure from being wound up by me) with a few giveaways and remarkable coincidences. Like saying that I “run interference for Iain Hall”. Hmm, who else said that? At SW:

    Travis Bickle Says:
    October 14, 2009 at 3:26 am | Reply
Reg, there’s nothing defamatory on this blog. There’s no ridicule, either, unless you consider the behaviour of yourself and Iain to be ridiculous. Naturally, it’s anonymous, because people like Iain and Jim stalk their critics, and people like you, Reg, run interference for them.

And then you came out with a “Saxism” (funny about that) – “Grow a pair”, you said .. in flustered anger. And just now, you referred to the “bunkers” at GG, a term repeatedly used at that copycat blog that I took down. And you know who else said those things? At SW?:

Jake Says: November 22, 2010 at 12:57 pm | Reply
It’s not st*lking of course, because The Act states there also has to be an intent to do harm or cause fear to the ‘victim’ and I don’t see how “JM” has anything to fear over this.
Guess who wrote that? yes, Ray Dixon dispensing his legal expertise to Iain Hall again.
the more Ray Dixon opens his fat mouth, the more I reckon a new This is not Alpine Opinion blog should start. nothing to fear from a blog like that as Ray says. It was mockery at best.
Shut up or harden the fuck up, ray.
Iain, grow a pair and stop thinking anyone who disagrees with your views must be harrassing you. pathetic scum.

Of course, this is not conclusive proof that you are: Travis Bickle, Jake, Sax, or the bloke who stalked me on the AO copycat blog. But it’s mounting.

  89. Oh, and of course, TOI’s discovery of: The TA review, The copycat blog, Sax’s GA comment, SW itself, etc, etc, was all just serendipity.

  90. So to recap…

Ray logic #1: If you use the same words or turns of phrase as someone else, this means they are actually your sockpuppets.
Ray logic #2: If you know something exists, this means you obviously created it.

    Brilliant.

  91. Still no denials, TOI. Very telling. Anyway, you are one confused (and scared, I’d suggest) little puppy. I did not say that. I merely listed the coincidences. You know, THE FACTS. Your Alzheimers is really causing you some problems (either that or it’s nerves and general lack of IQ), because I have told you this several times:

I do not put forward conspiracy theories or make deluded & unsubstantiated accusations. Everything I have put to you today (and on other days) about your ‘possible’ Internet skullduggery, is FACT. I have quoted your words and your admissions. I have quoted the remarkable coincidences that those words you use to and about me have only ever been used to and about me at SW.

    You really are dumb.

  92. You are a fool and a clown and seriously deluded, Ray. And if I had a dollar for every time you have filled this blog with a load of hysterical crap, then claimed it to be “THE FACTS”, then I could happily retire.

Since you seem intent on talking in riddles and conspiracy theories, I’ll spell this out very clearly for you:

    1. I do not operate S**** Watch. Or indeed any other active blog.
    2. I have never operated a fake blog about you or anyone else. Nor will I ever do so.
    3. I have never written a Trip Advisor review on anyone or anything.

If you have any coherent evidence to the contrary (and I don’t mean “Oh TOI, you sometimes use the same words!!”) then now’s the time to produce it. Otherwise, carry on pissing in the wind.

  93. Ray.
t01 often comments at SW as t01, so he’d be a reader and therefore – being unable to think independently and simply being a regurgitator of other’s bile – he’d use the stuff he saw there and think himself brilliant.
(edited pursuant to earlier threats of legal action to the site-owner)
T01’s delivery must have been important because he came back when he said he wouldn’t. Maybe it was his dealer making the delivery.

  94. Sorry, missed a point…

    4. I am not any of the following people: Sax, Len, David Davidson, Husky Jim, Damage, Bridget Gread, John Surname, Travis Bickle, Butcher Bill, Sylvia Plath, Jeremy Sear, Harold Holt, Lord Lucan, Jim Morrison, Raymond J. Bartholomeuz or Humphrey B. Bear.

  95. Calm down, TOI. At least I finally got you to make clear denials. Took a while.

But they were indeed FACTS I quoted to you. And they are far from hysterical. Hysteria is what you’re going through right now. If I am to believe your above 3 denials then it would mean all those matters are just you copycatting others. The thing is, TOI, you have a proven track record of coming here under different names and yet you also denied that. And every time you have come here (under any name) you have been highly derogatory and personal, often making remarks about my private life and my business. And, quite clearly, by your own admission you have hunted (or stalked) the Internet high & low for information to discredit me. You do it to others too.

So … I’ll simply judge you on your future behaviour as to whether or not I’ll continue to wind you up and point out these remarkable and serendiptious moments you keep having and enlightening us with. I don’t respond to your demands “to produce” anything. I have already produced enough to put you in the highly suspect basket.

Just be a good boy and start behaving yourself and I’ll leave you alone. Comprehende?

  96. And, quite clearly, by your own admission you have hunted (or st**ked) the Internet high & low for information to discredit me. You do it to others too.

Righto, I’ll wait here while you go and fetch exactly where I admitted that. Because not for the first time you are talking out your sizeable arse.

So … I’ll simply judge you on your future behaviour

Go take a running jump. Iain is the blog owner here and as much as I will listen to instructions about behaviour, it’ll be from him, not from a jumped up pill popping little Hitler like you.

Speaking of Hitler, no, I didn’t make those videos either. However I do find them hilarious. Really funny stuff. What makes a parody work is if it is based largely on the truth, and whoever made them knows you to a tee. Not that you’d know good parody if it strangled you, “Sockpuppet”.

  97. My, my, you really are getting angry now, TOI. Looks like I pushed your buttons so far that you can’t calm down. Wanna make some more admissions of your stalking behaviour? Be my guest.

You can wait as long as you like but the proof that you have hunted stalked mined the Internet for information to use against me is right here on this thread. You can easily find it yourself or did you forget about the little arrows at the side? Bloody Alzheimers again.

And please take a look at the byline on this post, TOI, before you start telling me I have no authority over your comments here.

Yes, I’m not surprised you would find a done-to-death Hitler parody video funny. I reckon I have known, or known of you, on the Internet for what, about 4 years? I’m still waiting for one genuinely funny remark to come out of your keyboard. The whole Internet is.

  98. Iain (Hall)
Has he ever sued anyone? Really – the point of his intimidatory actions and the point of his sockpuppeting in other places is after all to prevent the truth being openly spoken of. I wouldn’t take any of his comments seriously. There is no Sgt Thompson at Wangarratta police and there is no way you’ll be sued by the onanous one.

  99. Damage
its easy to say that you doubt that anyone would sue me but I would be the one who has to defend the action not you so its my call OK?

  100. Senior Detective Neil Thompson certainly exists, damage. He put a Wangaratta stalker away for 15 months. As for Jezza’s threats, yeah, I’d call his bluff, but it’s Iain’s blog …

  101. Wanna make some more admissions of your st**king behaviour? Be my guest.

No, I’m still waiting for you to provide evidence that I admitted to st**king you. As in direct quotations. From me, not from you. Don’t tell me to find it – you made the claim, so you produce the evidence. Otherwise, you are just talking typical Ray Dixon bullsh*t.

And please take a look at the byline on this post, TOI, before you start telling me I have no authority over your comments here.

Are you really that stupid? I don’t care who wrote this post. This is not your blog. You are a guest author. This. Is. Not. Your. Blog. Keep telling yourself and maybe it will sink in to your little fascist brain.

    {remainder of post edited – by RD – for abuse}

  102. What were you saying about “stupid”, TOI? Check your last comment.

As for the proof that you have admitted to stalking/hunting/mining information (call it what you will) on the Internet, as I said, just scroll up. You admitted to finding the malicious TA review. You admitted to putting comments @ SW. You admitted to finding the copycat blog. Need I go on? All by pure serendipity of course.

  103. You fool. I know those things exist because all of your other fans on SW have linked to them. That doesn’t mean I “found” them or that I “admitted” to finding them. You just make this crap up as you go along.

And now, after trolling and baiting for an argument, you’ve withdrawn to your last cowardly refuge – deleting comments. Why am I not surprised?

  104. I haven’t made anything up, TOI. And you can stop now. I told you I’ll make my decisions on your comments based on your future level of abuse, so don’t complain about any edits. You are only here on a sort of parole, it seems, after Iain released you from the banned list, where you were put (by Iain) for your over-personalised abuse. I haven’t “trolled” or “baited” for an argument, I simply wound you up over your trolling & baiting for an argument. You are a classic mate. A classic stalker & liar. You always blame the other person – that’s classic behaviour. Anyway, I certainly WILL edit out any further abuse. And if you keep it up, no doubt you’ll end up banned again.

  105. You are a classic mate. A classic st**ker & liar.

That’s rich coming from you, Dixon. The bloke who masqueraded as a sockpuppeting pig and, as “Sockpuppet”, bagged his (former) mate from Albury, slagged off Sear on another blog, and attacked and criticised numerous people using their real names. And when rumbled, spent a week lying through his teeth about being “Sockpuppet”.

You are only here on a sort of parole, it seems, after Iain released you from the banned list, where you were put (by Iain) for your over-personalised abuse

It still hasn’t sunk into your wind tunnel of a skull that this is Ian’s blog and he makes the calls on those matters. Repeat after me Ray: “This is not my blog… This is Iain’s blog… This is not my blog… This is Iain’s blog”.
I don’t have a problem with Iain, other than a disagreement over one comment he made. And he doesn’t appear to have a problem with me. So what has it got to do with you? Oh that’s right, you think this is now your blog too. What a parasite.

Anyway, I certainly WILL edit out any further abuse. And if you keep it up, no doubt you’ll end up banned again.

Then I will have no alternative but to go and post about you at another site. One that you haven’t infected like a rogue virus and tried to take over. I think I know of one.

  106. Then I will have no alternative but to go and post about you at another site.

Really? No alternative? You could just shut the f*ck up!

  107. Geez another two about to be added to the moderation/banned list.
Only a couple to go Ray, and you will have succeeded in alienating everyone here.
Pretty good going that, and it only took a week ?
    LMAO
Well done, what a mind (cough) blowing achievement.

Iain, if in fact you do exist, if you want a blog, put a fu//ing gag on your alter ego will ya ?

  108. Really? No alternative? You could just shut the f*ck up!

Advice you could well take yourself, Nige.

  109. and why is that, because I express an opinion you don’t agree with? I respect your opinions, but endless personal snarking at another commenter is puerile. You just did it again with that comment, geez TOI. Just leave the personal out of it…..

  110. I would happily do so. This all began with me taking issue with Iain over one comment he made. Then Dixon of Dick Green jumped in boots first, even though it had nothing to do with him, and started his wild accusations and whinges about me allegedly st***king him.

The bloke is cracked and if you cannot see that, that’s your problem, not mine.

  111. If the cap fits….

then again, why not cut the personal slurs and argue the issue…even JM, in his long running obsession with Iain’s opinions manages to argue the issue, usually.

  112. So you expect me to “cut the personal slurs”, after telling me to “f*** up” and “if the cap fits”?
You and Ray should get married and raise a family of little hypocrites, Nigel.

  113. No, he’s not. GD is an amiable chap for the most part. But he’s an apologist for Ray’s lunacy here.

  114. How is it that Ray can quote SW but anyone else gets shut down or moderated at the mere mention?
Sax may well be correct. “Iain, if in fact you do exist, if you want a blog, put a fu//ing gag on your alter ego will ya ?” Agreed

  115. ‘shut the f*ck up’ and ‘if the cap fits’ are hardly personal. Naming me, attacking Ray through his business is personal. As soon as you are challenged, you respond by revealing personal details about the people you are fighting with. That is the coward’s way. Have the guts to make your arguments stand alone, rather than being a smart arse who says, ‘I know where he lives’…like some pathetic teenager…

  116. Oh, go easy Angel…..Iain must have a good reason for appointing Ray to the position of ‘guest poster’.

  117. GD – To create controversy?????
TOI – I was laughing with you right up until the naming. Really not necessary.

  118. Fair enough, TOI, good to see you raise your, dare I say, ugly head, but I wouldn’t know about that, because I don’t look you up on the internet to see who you really are.

See, I don’t care. I’m not interested in pulling people down, I’m interested in pulling down people’s crazy ideas. On this blog you’ve been quite lucid, in fact sometimes more sensible than Ray. I’m surprised to hear that you are a Green.

If the Greens were more like you, they’d have a far better chance. Except for that personal outing, slurring defence you sometimes rely upon.

  119. GD – To create controversy?????

or create balance…..except Iain is way more accepting of commenters that Ray is, or I would be, for that matter. Iain is a paragon of virtue when moderating his blog. I know, he has let me get away with a swathe of right-wing stuff, and he even allows JM to continue to abuse him. Though I think that that’s their private game….

  120. Bullcrap, first sign of right-wing stuff and you are abo-bashing or being racist.
    Iain is more a gentleman.
Just a female perspective, thats all

  121. I agree about the ‘abo-bashing’….Ray is totally blinkered on that issue…a typical leftie response…

No self-determination, increased welfare, and lots of white guilt…that’s what the left see as a solution.

The only problem is, that has been happening for years, and it isn’t working! Howard’s intervention had the support of pragmatic Aborigines like Bess Price, but the loony left, the elitist one-quarter aborigines such as Larissa Berhendt disagreed, from their ivory towers in Sydney and Melbourne’s universities, and branded Bess Price, full-aborigine, as knowing nothing.

This will take a long time.

An election will be the first step.

    Howard’s intervention haa

  122. All the lefties fall back on the “still poor” excuse. So they top up with more welfare and discriminatory services. It’s not working. How does a race feel any value and the need to contribute when continually told they are not good enough. Welfare is not an opportunity.
    Haa GD

  123. I would save all of this guys.
You can bet your bottom dollar, the delete key will be rampant in the morning ? ;)

  124. ‘shut the f*ck up’ and ‘if the cap fits’ are hardly personal. Naming me, attacking Ray through his business is personal. As soon as you are challenged, you respond by revealing personal details about the people you are fighting with. That is the coward’s way.

You’re either not aware of how this argument transpired or you’re backing your mate Ray. If you can be bothered, scroll back and find where the discussion became “personal” and who started it. You’ll find it was Dixon. He thudded in and started abusing and whining and making allegations of st**king. Then using real names, digging up old comments/blogs, making comparisons of businesses, etc. etc.

As you say, “if the cap fits”.

Re: use of your real name… Since Dixon and Iain have never been shy about addressing commenters by their real name, even when they log in using pseudonyms, I’m not sure why you should be exempt GD. But if it bothers you then I will stop.

  125. I’m surprised to hear that you are a Green.

Yes, now I wonder where you heard or saw that, since I have never mentioned it here…?

  126. Angel & GD
Ray has like me been the subject of an ongoing campaign of vilification and internet abuse and he takes it a bit harder that I do so naturally he is more easily provoked. That said I like having a co-author here who has a very different political viewpoint and life experience.

  127. Sorry TOI, that may have been my fault, quite some time ago. I never mentioned Greens though from memory.

    Iain,
Then he, and you, should know what that feels like, when he inflicts the same abuse on all and sundry who play here.

Leon is also a co-author here, received the same provocations (as have you), and never have I seen the level of abuse slung at contributers on his posts, as has been seen on Rays ?

Like I said above, if it is in fact you, then the decision is relatively simple.
You want good discussion and foray, as we have had over the preceeding months, then we are here.
If you want to reduce these pages to s//t slinging from RD, everytime he loses his argument, and temper, we will go and play somewhere else. A pretty easy decision to make for my money ?

  128. I go out for the night and what do I find – the children have been playing up on my post. TOI continuing his pattern of personalised abuse, dragging up whatever information he can and rewriting history to suit his lies and defamation of others. Then Sax arrives. Sax thinks Iain is my invention, my sockpuppet. And of course Angel chimes in with her 2 cents worth (and that’s about all it’s worth).

Let’s end this crap right now.

TOI, I have already pointed out to you how this “started”. It was started by you. Yet you spin a lie that it was started by me butting in to something you said to Iain. Not so. Stop lying. And stop the personal crap.

Sax, yes please, go elsewhere with your conspiracy theories. Funny how you’re now siding with TOI, your former arch rival.

Angel, no need for you to butt in.

GD, thanks for being the only sane voice of reason while I wasn’t here.

Now … no more crap. The End.

  129. It’s okay, Iain. I’ll be away for a week or so from Friday this week. Sax & TOI can continue their new-found love affair and mutual admiration society while I’m gone.

  130. Will you be taking your other alter egos with you Ray ?
    Pretty please ?
You can delete this one as well as my last.
    No matter, it’s all saved.

  131. No, I won’t delete that, Sax, as even though it’s off-topic, it contains no personal abuse.

I have no idea why you’d find it necessary to “save” the comments but, as you seem to think Iain is my invention & “alter ago”, nothing you say or do surprises me. And a parody character named ‘Len Saxby” talking about “alter egos” is really ironic. Comedy gold.

Now, I’ve told you to stop it. Morph back into TOI please.

  132. Again with the identity challenges. Ho hum !
so now you are writing your cheap shots under the guise of a moderated comment ?
    Oh, how brave of you.

I am saving them due to the inevitable process of your pityful future denials. One only has to look at the file, for proof ! Wanna copy, or would that be too embarrassing for you perhaps ?

  133. check the ip addresses ffs.
    Can you do that ?
Oops, there goes another RD foray down the tube.
    Oops !
We don’t even live in the same state. rofl

  134. “Sax”, we all know you use an IP changer. Of course they’re not the same as TOI’s static one. Why are you asking me to check, btw? I didn’t accuse you of being TOI – I merely pointed out the remarkable coincidence that you and TOI have taken to using the same words & phrases. I’ve pointed that out several times now. There’s the infamous “Sax” trademark “grow a pair” that TOI uses too. All serendipity I suppose?

  135. IP changer ? Well I don’t Einstein, have never felt the need, funny that you do though ?
Careful, you have just about self implicated yourself there perhaps ? As I have said many times, I don’t host a web page, at least not on this medium, so every morning when I switch the modem and computer on, funny, I get a new ip address. As I suppose the ten million or so other Australians that perhaps do the same thing ?

Australian slang. Ever heard of it ?
Pretty world renown concept. Surprised you haven’t heard of it.

  136. “Sax”, your IP changes all the time, and quite rapidly. It changed between your 10.17 am and 10.27am comments today. Did you switch your computer off & on then too?

I don’t use an IP changer because I don’t have any need to hide my address or personal details. You might have noticed I comment under my real name with a link to my home blog where I also write under my real name and where there’s a fair bit of open, personal information for all the world to see. I don’t slink around the Internet hiding in the shadows like you do “Sax”. And like TOI does.

I don’t host a web page, at least not on this medium

Well, “Einstein” (don’t pinch names I’ve given to you, btw), on what “medium” is your web page if it’s not on this medium? This medium being the Internet.

  137. I agree about the ‘abo-bashing’….Ray is totally blinkered on that issue…a typical leftie response…

Yes you are right, GD. I am totally blinkered on that issue – ie. I am totally opposed to “abo bashing”.

  138. Ray has like me been the subject of an ongoing campaign of vilification and internet abuse and he takes it a bit harder that I do so naturally he is more easily provoked

No, Iain, I wasn’t “provoked”. That implies I reacted angrily to TOI’s abuse. Whereas I did nothing like that. Same goes for Sax’s abuse that followed. I was simply winding poor old Mr TOI up … to see what came out.

  139. I am busy today Ray but I have found five minutes to have a hearty chuckle at your ranting and conspiracy theories about “Sax” and I being the same person. I wonder what Iain thinks of your paranoid delusions? I notice he has been remarkably quiet about them.

I hope you are looking forward to your week’s holiday, I know everyone else here probably is.

  140. Four comments in a row, s*it I thought I was bad ?

Ever heard of a “dropout” numbnuts ? Hmm, didn’t think about that ?
I am rural, as you know, and service here is pretty flukey, at least on this medium.

    Hiding in the shadows ?
Ffs, I have given you (and everyone else here), bloody everything but a grid square.

Einstein ? you pinched that off me about a year ago.

My web page, for want of a better term, is on a network, that you will never have a chance to access Ray. From what I have seen, a few here may have, and not realised it, but that is as close to it, as you will ever get. They are serious people, and unlike me, don’t have a sense of humour. Actually, they are more like you when you break it down.

Same goes for Sax’s abuse that followed. I was simply winding poor old Mr TOI up … to see what came out.

And you found out didn’t you ?

It is a shame you haven’t learned your lesson yet. This occurs time, and time again, when you attack peoples credibility, and personality instead of their arguments.
There is not one person in this thread, for example, that you haven’t abused, or attacked at some point. What has it got you ?

  141. No, I wasn’t “ranting”. That’s what you and “Sax” do. Often, TOI.

I know your’re very thick but surely I don’t need to tell you again that I have NOT put forward any “conspiracy theory” about “Sax” and you being one and the same person. It’s a distinct possibilty though, considering the remarkable string of coincidences, stretching back to your serendiptious discovery of the infamous “Mr Len Saxby” commenting in YOUR local paper on YOUR favourite target (Cr Humphrey) the same day “Mr Len Saxby” suddenly announced himself on the Internet via this blog.

(Yes, I know “Len” was building Humphrey up in that GA comment whereas you bag him, but you did also say – on your own blog on the same day – that you wanted Humphrey to get the Liberal Party endorsement just to ensure they’d lose the seat).

No, TOI, as I have said to you countless times, I have merely listed those coincidences and serendipity moments. Others can decide if you are just two-faced or multiple-faced. Now get back to work.

  142. Now you really are reaching for the moon, and missing.
Be very careful about what you are implying. You’re the expert on defamation law, if TOI had the inclination, he could sue the socks right off your feet.

I think RD, it is time you took a deep breath, and indeed, got back to work, and leave this medium alone for a while. You really have lost ALL credibility you had, if indeed you had any to begin with.

  143. “Sax” is part of a secret world wide web accessed only by “serious people”. And I’m Iain. Wow!

Took you a while to explain the sudden IP change today, “Sax”.

And he comes in with TOI. More serendipity.

  144. Its the science fraternity you tosser.
Geez, does bloody everything have to be explained to you ?
    Talking about fools, bloody Nora.

  145. Unlike you, my business is not as successful as yours.
I don’t have eighteen hours a day to spend playing on a blog, I wish I did.
    It needs work and attention.

I think your ip checker may need some calibration perhaps.
Maybe a map, and a compass might help as well.
Also, a more detailed instruction book for the user might help ?
    LMAO

  146. (“Sax” is a scientist now!)

Look, “Sax”, if you are who you say you are then you’re simply admitting to buying into the RD/TOI thing for no other reason than you have an axe to grind with me. Well, save it until I actually have something to say that is your business. You do realise that you are now siding with the same bloke (TOI) that you lambasted and abused yourself, here and at other blogs, don’t you?

Now butt out and get back to your “serious scientific work”.

  147. I don’t bother using an IP checker, “Sax”. Never have. You seem to think everyone is as stalky as you are. I have no interest in you, where you live and what you do. I have merely noted the coincidences involving “Len Saxby” & “TOI”. Now go away.

  148. What did my hovercard say oh wise one ? Not a scientist !
    Those words sound familiar ?

I don’t have to side with anyone. Certainly Davo’s history with IL is pretty well known, but I don’t think he has done anything to me, and to be quite honest, I would side with anyone, no matter what the history, when coming up against lies, and paranoid behaviour, such as what has been put up on this page ?

You accused me of being TOI ffs ?
Why isn’t that my business ?
So, what, you are now backing away from that ? An apology would be in order then, and better make it a bloody good one, to the BOTH of us !

What happened, you learn how to use your “ip checker” correctly by chance ?
Butt out ? You’re kidding right ?

  149. “Sax”, I told you to go away. Now, I will answer your latest comment and then you WILL go away:

You certainly have had clashes with TOI under your “Sax” name. And please, don’t give us the crap about DD being a different bloke to you. Everyone knows he’s not.

I did not “accuse” you – a parody character – of being TOI. I listed a string of FACTS, coincidences and serendipity moments that TOI has had. I do not accuse figments of the imagination as posing as real people – other way around, if anything.

And this is where you butted into the argument. Last night with your whacky conspiracy theory about Iain being my invention:

    http://iainhall.wordpress.com/2012/01/26/gillard-abbott-under-attack-from-the-police/#comment-70835

Iain, if in fact you do exist, if you want a blog, put a fu//ing gag on your alter ego will ya ?

    Now. GO. AWAY.

  150. Oh Ray, you do make me laugh. “Get back to work”? You should practice what you preach. I’m sure your gravel needs raking.

Coincidence on its own means nothing, and this word “serendipity” you keep over-using is just a code word for your drug-addled mind adding 2 and 2 and coming up with 7. There is no way in a million years that “Sax” and I are the same person, and anyone with half a functioning brain could work that out. But not Ray. From his motel in north-east Victoria, he sees all, hears all and knows all.

A shame you weren’t so willing to expose the truth when you were pretending to be an unfunny pig. There was a lot of “serendipity” there too, as well as matching IP addresses, WordPress usernames and what-not. Yet still you lied like a five year old caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

  151. I’m sure your gravel needs raking.

Oh, another coincidence. TOI uses a phrase so often used at SW and at the defunct AO copycat blog.

Coincidence on its own means nothing

That’s right. But a string of coincidences collectively means a lot more.

    your drug-addled mind

    Charming.

There was a lot of “serendipity” there too, as well as matching IP addresses, WordPress usernames and what-not.

Well, you’d know, “TOI”, seeing that you most likely were and are involved in that stalking blog SW that you are clearly referring to.

Now you can go away too. I’ve tolerated enough of your abuse for one day.

  152. Oh, forgot to add:

A shame you weren’t so willing to expose the truth when you were pretending to be an unfunny pig

I had no obligation or duty to admit the identity. Unlike you, as SP (and as myself) I have not abused people on the Internet. I have not stalked them. I have not gone out of my way to interfere in their private lives & business. That’s what scum like you do. I have told you this over & over, but you keep banging on about it, as though it means something. It means nothing … and it’s all you’ve got on me. Nothing. Funny though, how you have effectively (by ommission) admitted that I have exposed the truth here. About you. That’s how it reads, buddy.

  153. Spot on TOI, but hope you have your crash helmet on.

So, when someone finally, after unbeliebable provocation, stands up, to defend themslves against your lies, you have a dummy spit, and cry foul ? LMFAO

Again, you were caught out, making it up, as you go along, and now, in a vain effort to save face, you threaten to ban everyone telling them to p*ss off ?

BTW, that person using my name, has been proven to have a Geelong ip address. Unless I have moved, then moved back, then it wasn’t me. But that has been explained before as well.

    {remainder of comment edited – for abuse}

  154. “Sax”, you and TOI are the ones doing the abusing, not me. You’re both very weird. Very alike.

And yeah, someone “used your name” to make that comment on the GA. Before “Len Saxby” had ever commented on the Internet. What, did he have a vision or something? And it just happened to be about Lygo’s favourite punching bag. And the GA has given you the IP address of the fake “Len Saxby”?

Talk about making it up as you go, “sax”.

    I’ve edited your comment, btw.

  155. {edit}

Actually, a commenter elsewhere came up, and said that the ip address came from Geelong, not me. Geez, again talking about making it up as you go along.

I started commenting, when David first showed me all your cheap shots at him, and others here over a year ago. He has found other more fruitful and enjoyable pursuits. Pity you couldn’t ?

    {edit}

    Drop the abuse, “Sax”

  156. a commenter elsewhere came up, and said that the ip address came from Geelong, not me

Yeah, right. Which commenter? Where? How did he/she know? You’re digging a hole here, “Sax”.

I started commenting, when David first showed me all your cheap shots at him, and others here over a year ago

    Yeah, right.

  157. I worked out where Sax lives from 1 comment he made a while back. I’m not going to do a TOI and announce it to everyone. I’m not going to do a Ray and continually hound him with accusations either. Geez guys give it up. Who really cares.

  158. Yes Angel, we all know “where Sax lives”, according to what he says here. So what? I don’t care where he lives. And I haven’t hounded him with accusations. Butt out.

  159. Announce it if you like Angel. WGAF

I have already admitted where I am. Flinders Island.
    {abuse edited}

  160. Ray – You should spend more time keeping on topic than your identity investigation. You are afterall a co-author, not a private eye. Iain does not insist we use our real names so why should anyone be hounded from you over this choice.
    Angel

  161. It was on SW, and here.
{edit} go find it yourself, and stop being so lazy.

No it wasn’t on either places. And you’re the one making the claim so you’re the one who needs to prove it, “Sax”. Otherwise it’s just as it appears to be – that TOI made the “Len Saxby” comment on the Geelong Advertiser in July 2009. Before “Len Saxby” existed on the Internet. And on TOI’s favourite topic. There is no other plausible explanation.

  162. Angel, this is my post. Posts change directions and this one did yesterday when TOI started the abuse. Then “Sax”. Then you chimed in. I’m not hounding “Sax” or conducting identity investigations. I have stated some facts and “Sax” has responded with abuse. Kindly butt out.

  163. Don’t let the truth get in the way of a good story ?
    LMAO

You have absolutely NO EVIDENCE to substantiate that dribble.
    Where is your evidence ?

  164. You have absolutely NO EVIDENCE to substantiate that dribble.
    Where is your evidence ?

“Sax”, you sound like Joh Bjelke Petersen in the witness box at his trial when he said, “I’m innocent and you can’t prove it”.

The “evidence” (as you put it, I’m not actually making accusations or mounting a legal case) is exactly as I have explained. It’s circumstantial and coincidental, I admit, but the fact is you haven’t answered it very well. Yeah, some fictitious person at SW or here said the “Len Saxby” commenting in the GA in July 2009 (on Lygo’s favourite topic) wasn’t the “Len Saxby”. Well no, they didn’t say that but then again, there is no “Len Saxby”, is there? He’s just a parody character made up by …….

  165. “Posts change directions” “Keep on topic”. Come off it, how obvious is the “do as I say..” looking now

I know the place Sax cause that’s where my ancestors were from. You know the one’s that Ray said I was full of crap with.

  166. And there’s the backdown folks !
Challenged to provide evidence, he couldn’t. As usual !

I’m not actually making accusations or mounting a legal case

Followed quickly by the identity challenge.
Wish I was as certain of winning lotto.

  167. You just fell at the first hurdle and then claimed “victory”. Well done.

And you are still stuck at the gate.

  168. And you shouldn’t have even brought it up. It proves my argument more than your rants.
I have explained, not that I need to, especially to someone that hid their own identity ?
I am not doing it again.
Again, do your own research, stop being so lazy. You have moderator’s powers here, do a search for the comment yourself.

  169. Sax, I repeat: I have not “ranted” here in this thread. Scroll up. You have ranted. TOI has ranted. I haven’t.

But okay, I’ll try to search the comments for your so-called “some person” who explained the GA comment. Give me a hint though – you know, like a key word that was used. Think ……

  170. ip address
that comment was Geelong area, mine is flinders.
that was brought up here, as well as SW if I remember.
It wasn’t me, so who cares. They are using our names hyphenated on SW as well. I suppose you think that is me as well ?

  171. I have tried “Geelong” and there are no comments on this blog to support your claim that “someone here” explained the Geelong Advertiser comment made by a “Len Saxby”. And give-me-a-break, your IP means nothing. My IP location shows up as Melbourne, for instance. There’s just no reliability in IP location tracking. Funny how you continually refer to that and to other stalking procedures. Anyway, what I did find was a thread last year where you and TOI were going hammer & tongs at each other. This is despite your claim today that you haven’t had any issues with him, but “David” has. Mind you, if you are a TOI invention then that’d explain the contradiction … I mean, I wouldn’t put it past Lygo to argue with himself.

  172. Ah well, I will have to take my thoughts and comments elsewhere. I think you know the place.

  173. I think I might join you TOI ?
The banter suddenly looks a better option ?

Ray, I am not doing your research for you.
    Do it yourself.

  174. remember this by any chance ?

Iain Hall on January 16, 2012 at 12:31 pm said:
Its an interesting theory Ray but checking the IP address of TOI, David and Sax they all show quite different locations Geelong, Hobart and Launceston respectively so its unlikely that they are one and the same.

The rest you can do yourself.
I’m not here for your convenience.

  175. Yes, I remember that, “Sax”, so what? That doesn’t support your claim that “someone here” explained away the GA comment made in your name. And the IP locator is not worth a pinch of salt. As I understand it, you can download an IP changer and nominate the area from where you want it to appear you are located. It’s probably what you do. Anyway, I thought you and your new mate TOI were off to do some (more) stalking.

  176. At least they accept comments there without some paranoid little up-country twerp hitting the ‘delete’ button because his feelings are hurt and he can’t handle the pressure.

  177. Well I won’t put that one in moderation because I love it.

Btw, I only put your filth in moderation, it was Iain who then deleted them. That’s how I work – Iain has the final say.

Anyway, I love your comment because:

    1) You haven’t denied SW as your “home blog”.

    2) Of course SW accepts your scumbag comments. That’s what they’re about. They are scum and they welcome more scum.

    3) As I said to you (in the moderation page) – You expect not to be moderated when you continually abuse? That’s interesting. Try that at AOL or PP and see how you get on.

    Cheerio and happy stalking.

  178. Don’t get sucked in TOI, he is just attempting to change the subject, after his last argument got shot down in flames. A usual MO.

  179. You haven’t denied SW as your “home blog”.

You simpleton. Just because you spout a dozen points of ridiculous sh*t, and I don’t have the time or inclination to deny them all, doesn’t mean they are true.

Btw, I only put your filth in moderation, it was Iain who then deleted them. That’s how I work – Iain has the final say.

Then Iain should show his head and explain just where he stands, instead of hiding in the shadows and deleting comments. I’m sure he loves the fact you’re insane though, as the train wrecks you create boost his views/comments.

Of course SW accepts your scumbag comments. That’s what they’re about. They are scum and they welcome more scum.

If that’s the case, why don’t you head on over there too? You are ideally qualified.

  180. Actually TOI I deleted all of those comemnts in moderation and frankly there should be NO “pressure” being put by commentators such as Sax or yourself upon Ray or anyone else for that matter. In fact I think that I’m going to make it sort of a rule that we won’t debate moderation decisions in the comments threads any more. If you have a beef about moderation decisions then you know my email address and by your own admission I am pretty fair, by all means feel free to comment elsewhere on the net (its a free internet) but don’t expect to be warmly thanked by those here if you visit the darkside for solace and a cathartic bitch session. Its my understanding that all comments on the darkside are moderated anyway so you will be getting what exactly for your efforts there? mainly a loss of good will here I guess.

I am really trying to give you a fair go here but You need to remember a couple of important details this is My blog and I set the rules here and as I have chosen to delegate some of the comment management to Ray you just have to wear it if you don’t like his style when he is on deck. The reality is that as this blog has got more popular it needs monitoring 24/7 and as we will be seeing our millionth page view sometime this year my appreciation of Ray’s contributions here should not be underestimated.

So if you want to bitch about Ray tell your cat because I’m not interested and I won’t publish such things here. But If you want to give us on-topic comments no matter how off the wall they are I and Ray will enjoy demolishing your arguments, in the most amiable way possible.

  181. Iain should show his head and explain just where he stands, instead of hiding in the shadows and deleting comments

He just did. I’ll leave your last comment here so others can have some appreciation of what I’m dealing with, although it isn’t your worst.

Anyway, I have a better name for you “two” whackers, “Sax” & “TOI”:

    THE SERENDIPITY BROTHERS

Appearing soon at a stalking blog near you.

It’s so great that you “two” have finally found each other after all those months/years of arguing. You’re like one now. Blood brothers united in a cause – to stalk.

  182. If you have a beef about moderation decisions then you know my email address

Love to, but you haven’t been answering your emails, and they are more than just winging.
Listen to it, lil brother mouthing off, as bigger brother protects it.
Makes me just want to throw up.

  183. they are more than just winging

I’ve got no doubt they’re much more than that, “Sax”. Like, “Hey Iain, you’re really Ray aren’t you?” No wonder he doesn’t answer. Anyway, as Iain says, don’t put your complaints here. If Iain doesn’t respond to your emails then I suggest you, um, take the hint and move on.

  184. And if you guys want to bitch about your “friends”, tell it also to someone else.
Don’t expect any further support from your “loyal” supporters either.
What few you two clowns had, just deserted you.

Well bugger me, if everything I have read about you two, was true after all.
    Oh, fool me.
    lmao

  185. Ray
Have you noticed – I’m sure that you have – that while you and t01 have been going at it, that there’s been no activity at SW?
    Serendipity?

  186. Just because “Sax” is as fed up with your rubbish as I am, Raymo, doesn’t mean I am either him or his new-found friend.
    On the other hand, {edit – give up, TOI}

  187. Have you noticed – I’m sure that you have – that while you and t01 have been going at it, that there’s been no activity at SW?

    {edit – stop stalking, TOI}

you do logic about as well as you bat.
And your contributions are about as lengthy as your innings, from what I hear.

  188. Just because “Sax” is as fed up with your rubbish as I am, Raymo, doesn’t mean I am either him or his new-found friend.

Maybe then, it’s just “Sax” who has a crush on you? Unrequited love can be very soul destroying, so go on, give him a hug.

  189. BTW
72 words, argument developed, including formatting commands, and submitted in just over three minutes Ray.

anyone else find that extremely fishy ?
Can’t be done, of course unless you know, or have formulated both comments before hand ?
Oh wow, have you just been caught out.

  190. Caught out doing what, “Sax”? I make my comments from the comment page, which has command buttons, so that might explain my quickness. That and my quick mind. As opposed to whatever the hell goes on in yours.

  191. That and my quick mind

Maybe you and Iain are the same person after all – you’re both head over heels in love with yourself.

  192. There is no way known, that you could formulate that reply, including formatting, and post it in three minutes. shit I can type at sixty, and I tried, and without errors, four and a half minutes is the best time I could get.

So who is fooling here Ray ?
Wrap your massive intellect around that one Einstein.
    Oops, sprung !

  193. Oh, for God’s sake, The Serendipity Brothers are at it again. I guess you both don’t understand irony. When I said “my quick mind”, I’m being reverse self-effacing to a stupid and incoherent comment by “Sax”. Which he still hasn’t explained. Now, please, both of you … stop playing with pud! Sax, see a shrink – he’ll listen to your conspiracy theories.

  194. There is no way known, that you could formulate that reply, including formatting, and post it in three minutes

I have no idea which comment you’re referring to, “Sax”, but obviously you are completely loopy.

  195. You weren’t quick enough Einstein.
Explains how Iain’s comment, then yours referring to it, some three minutes later, is an impossible ask, for your advanced intellect.

    Iain Hall = Ray Dixon
    done and dusted.

  196. Oh, I see. Iain posts a comment at 7.32 pm and I post one at 7.35 pm. in which I refer to Iain’s comment.

    You, “Einstein” then:

    a) Count my words

    b) Do a few test runs to see how long it would take to type that comment (forgetting of course, that I don’t have to enter commands or format, as I use the comment edit box, not the one you use).

    c) Reach the brilliant conclusion that this means Iain and I are one in the same person adding further support to your crazy conspiracy theories.

Sorry to disappoint you, “Einstein” but as much as I’d like to claim credit for being an “Einstein” of the keyboard, here is your answer as to how I did that in 3 minutes:

I was already typing the response re naming you two ‘The Serendipity Brothers’ and had just about finished it when I noticed TOI’s & Iain’s comments (I can see that from the comments page while I’m responding) so I simply added the quote from TOI and the first sentence. Sorry to disappoint you. You make a good comedian though – you are so stupid that you’re funny.

  197. How can any group that you class as poor spend $300 on a cask of wine? Does it really need to be spelt out so simply or do you just have no reply other than you don’t understand.

  198. Angel, don’t put links up here and just expect me to click on them, and then admonish me for not knowing what the hell you’re talking about. If you want to talk about the $300 wine cask, include a quote from the article too. I’m not your servant.

  199. So you didnt even look at the link. That would explain why you dont understand then. Why would you comment prematurely?

  200. t01 in my game any innings is brief you get a mat of 7 pitches. Hit one and you’re a hero. Fail and you’re a Lygo.
    (I crack me up)

Good to see you’ve been checking though. Who ever it’s been on.

  201. Cask wine fetches $300 on Palm

This is the article heading. You really dont need to read much further.
Do you prefer articles with lots of pictures?

  202. Angel, I repeat – don’t just put links up in lieu of commentary. That’s lazy. It’s not up to me to read your links. Put up the link AND quote from it, then I might be bothered replying.

  203. No Ray, the link was in anticipation of your reply being “where is your proof. you are just being racist and abo-bashing”
You are really not on the ball tonight, are you?

  204. I don’t have to aswer you on that, Angel, but he wasn’t “deleted”, his comment is in moderation. And that wasn’t because of his opinions on aborigines. You must have read Iain’s earlier post at 7.32 pm where he told everyone (and that includes you) to NOT query moderation decisions here in the comments – scroll up and stop being a nuisance about the moderation here.

  205. Angel, that’s weak. I repeat, if you want to make some point about a $300 wine cask then make it. Don’t use links and just add some obscure points.

  206. FINE Lets word it Ray’s way.
Explain to me how you believe the Aborigines are a “poor people” when they can afford $300 casks of wine?
Its only a few lines so I won’t worry about pictures.

  207. Angel, you are refering (apparently) to a story about an aborigine spending $300 on a wine cask. So put up the quote if you want an answer.

  208. I have already told you I am not your secretary. Im actually going to agree that changing bed sheets would be beneath you.
Ok, so lets play the role of Ray’s little minion shall I?

“A four-litre cask of moselle, worth about $16 on the mainland, would fetch between
$100 and $150 on Palm Island.

But the price surges as high as $300 in a wine drought, when demand peaks.

A carton of beer can bring up to $150.”

And your reply would be? (more avoidance I’m guessing)

  209. The quote is incoherent and seems incomplete. There’s no suggestion of what the story is about. You’ll need to explain yourself better than that.

Btw, cut the snark. You’ve been reading too much TOI it seems.

  210. And you have things in reverse there, Angel. Asking you to make your comment more coherent is not asking you to be my “secretary”. But expecting me to jump to your attention is.

  211. You are back!

Go to the link to solve the INCOMPLETE
What is INCOHERENT about paying $300 for a cask of wine when you are considered a
    “poor people”

Don’t think I am the one playing snarky little games.
Do you still consider the Aborigines a “poor people” Ray? Can you answer or are you able to prolong further yet?

  212. “But expecting me to jump to your attention is.”

Well get back to me in a few days then Ray

  213. Re that article, Angel, there is a similar law in Broome, except that no-one can buy cask wine. I didn’t know about a black market on Palm Island. I wonder if there is one in Broome?

  214. Don’t give me orders, Angel. If you want to make a point make a complete one, instead of demanding that I piece it together for you. You certainly are playing games but I’m not interested in responding any further (unless you enter proper debate and stop behaving like you’re Bridgit Gread. No, that’s not an accusation).

  215. GD – The mayor of Palm Island is facing the accusations. He was travelling on the smuggling boat. Unlike what Ray considers to be one person, this is a supply for the whole island. A whole community of ‘poor people” that can afford those prices.
Ray – I have put the topic to you very clearly. Avoidance is your game. You lose.
That’s fine, I’m not taking it as an accusation. You know better.

  216. So if you want to bitch about Ray tell your cat because I’m not interested and I won’t publish such things here. But If you want to give us on-topic comments no matter how off the wall they are I and Ray will enjoy demolishing your arguments, in the most amiable way possible.

The point is Iain that Ray is obviously out of control. He cannot argue or debate with good grace or without resorting to snide remarks that descend into abuse. He has abused everyone here at some point. He has openly declared that he intends making it his mission to seize on anything disagreeable or dissenting I say, to anyone. In other words, he’s going to pick fights and whinge and whine about s***king whenever he goes off his meds and has a bad week. He can’t bear not to have the last word. And now he’s wielding moderation and deletion because others shoot it back at him.

This is the sort of malodorous c**t you have hitched your wagon to. And while I don’t have any beef with you, if you endorse what he is doing, then you are no better than him. Then again, you supported him and essentially lied for him when he was in denial about being “Sockpuppet”, so why am I not surprised? I hope you and Ray have a very happy blog life together and one day you get to consummate your relationship. Just don’t {edit – leave my personal business alone – RD}.

    Ciao.

  217. Look at the “divide & conquer” crap TOI gets out of bed to post at 4.40am (Melb time) while no one else is around. And then he calls others “out of control” and “c*nts”? Then he trys to suck up to Iain (“I have no beef with you”) but, being the type he is, can’t help exposing himself as a liar – within the same comment! – by signing off with a personal swipe at both of us. Talk about “off your meds”. Good riddance.

  218. And now he’s surfaced (resurfaced, I mean) at that other place.

    Actually … talking … to … himself.

I kid you not, according to ‘the feed’ TOI posted a series of comments 5 hours ago and so did “Lynot”. So did a “Len Saxby Davidson”. And the 3 ‘Serendipity Brothers’ (or 3 amigos) actually talked to each other. What another coincidence – TOI, Lynot et al all up at 4am and posting the same stuff at the same time in the same place. Talk about serendipity.

Btw, “Lynot” is a regular at Jeremy’s blog too.

If you want any more proof that TOI (ie Lygo) runs SW then you’ve just got it. That’s why I wound him up this week – after the ‘threat’ he made on that blog – to push his buttons and get him to expose himself. Worked a treat – and he took his “Sax” identity with him!

    Score: Dixon 10 – Lygo 0

  219. Thank god you claimed victory Ray. Well done to Iain for handing you the power to claim you win. And he’s clearly given you the full feature because 10-0 is a bloody thrashing and you deserved it too. t01 is clearly out of his depth and should be off sulking. Which he is. Or is he asleep? It’s clear your 10-0 drubbing kept him awake last night. 3am indeed.
Anyhow this thread has about peetered out and you must be buggered. Just goes to show that if you keep on coming back and back and back and back and back and back and back and back and back and back and back and back and back and back and back and back and back and back and back and back and back that you can eventually have the last word, claim victory and look like a top brain.

  220. And I will claim victory over Ray then Damage. I have supplied him with all information he carried on about. Was thinking telling him the colour of my underwear next. {edit – no crap please}

  221. And I will claim victory over Ray

Really? Look, Angel, you put up a barely coherent comment about the price of a wine cask on Palm Island being up to $300 and claimed that was “proof” that aborigines are not poor!! Seriously? You’re such a lightweight that I couldn’t be bothered fighting you. It’d be cruel. As for the undies, no thanks … too much information. Btw, cut the crap.

Damage, thank you. I think. I don’t really care, actually.

  222. My edited crap was word for word what Damage wrote for you. Thats why you took back the appreciation once seen in another light. Why are you worried about taking on a light weight Ray? Answer the question.
GD – You’re a gem (true appreciation there)

  223. A quote from “Lynot” (one of TOI’s multiple characters) at the mad house (or is that the House of Serendipity?):

I am not interested in Hall’s stalking, or any of the other peoples personal lives, businesses or anything else about their lives, just their absolute deranged comments, which in some cases I find quite funny. I even think that JM is possibly Hall trying to make up fake arguments. Fantasist’s like Sax amuse me, who btw I also think just may be taking the piss. Anyways it’s all good fun.

Absolute G.O.L.D. TOI is trying to play it all down. He must be out of his mind today and in such shock that he’s actually talking to himself.

  224. Just thought I’d post this here as Iain Lygo has requested:

    Hi Ray,
    Thanks for the phone conversation.
As I mentioned TOI is not me and I would appreciate that my name not be used on (SW) or the Sandpit Blog. It is defamatory and I do not want my name coming up on google searches …
    Regards
    Iain (Lygo)

I don’t know how we could do anything about SW. That’s up to TOI, I reckon.

Well Ray I had a comment that I found in the Spam bin purporting to be from one “Iain Lygo” and when I checked the IP it showed a Ringwood in Melbourne location. The email address supplied was a fake web mail jobbie (no surprise there!) now this struck me as being rather strange as Iain Lygo and his business is based in the Geelong. Now I only know of one left wing blogger who lives in that part of the world and he has actaully threatened me with a writ or two.
That said If “Iain Lygo” has any complaints about anything published here at the Sandpit then I am the only person who can address those complaints, My email address is well known and my home number is listed in the white pages. So maybe this whole thing is just another example of Lygo’s well known disassociative relationship with the truth or its yet another attempt to dissemble. Either way with out a verifiable proof of identity and the veracity of the claimant not one word will be changed at this blog.

    Iain

  225. If Iain Lygo is not the “TOI” who has commented at this blog under that name and various others, then the issue he really has is with the person who is doing the impersonation. Everything “TOI” says is totally consistent with that person being Iain Lygo so, if we are to believe Lygo’s belated denial of the identity, then why hasn’t he complained to you about the impersonation that’s been going on for what, about a year or so? That’s what’s missing from his complaint – funny about that. I suggest you send Iain Lygo “TOI’s” email address and IP, Iain. Then he can go after the real culprit – if indeed he is being impersonated. Somehow I doubt it.

  226. Further to that Ray If TOI is not Iain Lygo then why have comemnts made in that name suddenly ceased to be posted just as Iain Lygo starts to whine and grizzle about you and I calling him on his bullshit?
You would have to think that if TOI was a different person then there should be some overlap between TOI posting and Iain Lygo complaining, but there is no such overlap at all, instead we have TOI getting in a Poo with you and storming off closely followed by you getting a phone call to bend your ear about less than favourable mentions of Iain Lygo here and elsewhere.

  227. And closely followed by TOI, Lynot & Sax (remember him?) suddenly appearing at that stalking blog at the same time and … talking to each other! But, according to “Sax”, I’ve made it all up. I didn’t receive a phone call. I didn’t receive an email. And in fact I’m Lygo and I run (or ran) the BLL blog as well. Oh yes, and I’m also you, Iain. You don’t exist. No wonder he wants to disown the TOI identity (and all the others) – to own up to them is to admit insanity.

Good to see “Sylvia” (aka Jo) reassociating herself with the scumbags who make death threats though. That’s a great look, Jo.

  228. I know for a fact that TOI = Iain Lygo.

Some of the comments he’s made here could only be made by the real IL.

    The gig’s up.

  229. Ray

Its one of the most bizarre instances of conspiratorial thinking I’ve ever seen Ray. they seem to think that you are some sort of blogging Machiavelli spending all of your time trying to create these elaborate internet empires. Like why would you or I even bother with such nonsense?

Good to see “Sylvia” (aka Jo) re-associating herself with the scumbags who make death threats though. That’s a great look, Jo.

Yeah she sure is a piece of work is a our “Sylvia” but perhaps she has been on the beetle nut while up in the tropics which would explain her scatological obsessions and eternal bad humour.
