Long and lean and easy on the draw….

For anyone who is interested I am posting a picture of my Clubman now that I have it back on the road.
There are still a few things to do but after taking longer than I expected it is very good indeed to have the car going again.

  1. I think this post confirms that today is a ‘slow news day’ Iain – although it’s good to see you’ve fitted a windscreen.

The big news down here is that State Minister for Water & for Tourism Tim Holding has gone missing on nearby Mt Feathertop im appalling weather conditions. The town of Bright is crawling with TV crews, police, emergency services and ‘dignatries’ at the moment.

It’s actually good for tourism (more about that later), although let’s all hope he’s found alive.

  2. Yeah it is a slow news day Ray.
Your missing minister is not getting much attention up here but I did hear that he is reported to be well equipped for the environment with warm clothes and wet weather gear. You would have to wonder whay anyone would go walking in the sort of weather I hear that you have been having on that mountain though.
The windscreen actaully works a treat at keeping the wind of the occupants of the car, I no longer have to have my cap oh so painfully tight when I am driving which is great.

  3. Yes I agree Ray,
for some strange reason I keep thinking of Harold Holt, but I don’t think that a Russian sub can be invoked in this case.

  4. Two posts in a day! Nice work, big fella. ;-)

That’s the sort of work ethic that makes this site one of the best in the Aussie bloggosphere!
