I am interested to find out where my readers stand in the political spectrum so I have created a poll to find out. While we are at it there is the question of religion Cheers Comrades

They are among us….

Edgar Mitchell was the Lunar Module Pilot for Apollo 14

Edgar Mitchell was the Lunar Module Pilot for Apollo 14

Aliens have contacted humans several times but governments have hidden the truth for 60 years, the sixth man to walk on the moon has claimed.

Apollo 14 astronaut Dr Edgar Mitchell, said he was aware of many UFO visits to Earth during his career with NASA but each one was covered up.

Dr Mitchell, 77, said during a radio interview that sources at the space agency who had had contact with aliens described the beings as ‘little people who look strange to us.’

He said supposedly real-life ET’s were similar to the traditional image of a small frame, large eyes and head.

Chillingly, he claimed our technology is ‘not nearly as sophisticated’ as theirs and “had they been hostile”, he warned ‘we would be been gone by now’.

Dr Mitchell, along with with Apollo 14 commander Alan Shepard, holds the record for the longest ever moon walk, at nine hours and 17 minutes following their 1971 mission.

Personally I love a good conspiracy theory story when it comes to fiction and the Roswell UFO story just won’t die. Heck I even loved the TV series “Roswell” which although far from perfect worked for me. I don’t actually believe any of it though. Now I am sure that this must be proof positive for some of my readers because Mitchell is after all a scientist…

  1. He’s 77 huh? Yeah, dementia sets in around then.

  2. Actually he’s right. Australia had a very famous ‘ET’ style alien in high office until recently. Thankfully he was voted out about 8 months ago.

  3.

I reckon That Julia Gillard’s hair is actually a space helmet in disguise…

  4. He’s probably a lefty. Only a lefty would believe this nonsense. Incidentally, I am a scientist. What do you have against us?

    Diane,
After much studying of Iain (see Iain you’re right on one thing – you can get research funding for *anything* these days!) I have concluded his thought processes to go something like this…

    1. ‘Lefties are my enemies’,
    2. ‘Most scientists are lefties’ (at least the ones who support AGW, which again is most of them),
    3. ‘Therefore sceintists are my enemies too!’

    :)

  6. I think Iain has dementia too, given that he thinks ‘among’ is spelt with a ‘u’.

  7. I think “amoung” means “among” the “young”, of which Mitchell is not.

  8. I wonder if he has been to Birmingham in the UK?

  9. Diane Lake,
please prove your claim to be a scientist I googled your name and found nothing.
    Cheers

  10. I wonder if he has been to Birmingham in the UK?

Whenever I see Jasper Carrott’s mug on TV, I think the aliens have already landed, and living amongst us with a great sense of humour!!

  11. please prove your claim to be a scientist I googled your name and found nothing.

And all scientists are listed on the Internet, of course.
