I am interested to find out where my readers stand in the political spectrum so I have created a poll to find out. While we are at it there is the question of religion Cheers Comrades

Radovan Karadzic arrested, at last

Radovan Karadzic

Radovan Karadzic

War crimes fugitive Radovan Karadzic has been arrested in Serbia after 13 years on the run.

The Bosnian Serb wartime leader, one of the world’s most wanted men, was taken into custody by the Serbian security services, Serbian President Boris Tadic’s office said in a statement.

“Karadzic was located and arrested,” the statement said. He was detained and taken to see judges of the war crimes court.

Karadzic is twice indicted for genocide for the 43-month siege of Sarajevo which claimed 12,000 lives and for orchestrating the 1995 massacre of some 8,000 Muslims at Srebrenica, the worst atrocity in Europe since World War Two.

The Times

Some good news about a scumbag for a change.

Sadly I expect that we may see a replay of the same sort of farce that we saw with that former president of Serbia… a long trial that ended unresolved when he died of natural causes in prison.

I must admit that I don’t have much faith in the court in the Hague but if it’s all we have then lets hope that this scrote ends up receiving a punishment commensurate with his crimes, sadly with the absence of a capital sanction that is not going to happen.

  1. Heh, they’re all as bad as each other. The only reason the Serbs got the short end of the stick is because they were the most powerful ethnic group and they’re with the Ruskies.
