I am interested to find out where my readers stand in the political spectrum so I have created a poll to find out. While we are at it there is the question of religion Cheers Comrades

Today is one of those days when the muse has left the building

I usually have no trouble whatsoever finding something to post about but today I find inspiration a little thin on the ground.

On my usual blog crawl I did find an example of an orthographic Nazi, a cat blogger using his moggie as some sort of hat and that Julia Gillard wants to see an end to the culture wars by encouraging more examples of fine “balanced” Aussie drama like “Curtin” and the “Bastard Boys”.

All very much the same old story from the left. Like wise last night’s appearance by Clare Martin held no surprises apart from the pleasure that I got from seeing the chief minister visibly squirming under Tony Jones’s questioning about the Ampe Akelyernemane Meke Mekarle “Little Children are Sacred” report (transcript) but I have written about this recently anyway.

On issue that I have been following but not commenting on is the trial Of Chris Hurley, as the jury is expected to retire shortly to consider a verdict I will look at the case with a more detailed eye after the verdict but I still stand by my earlier predictions of the outcome … But a more detailed post on that once there is a verdict.

On the car building front I had an unexpected expense this week when the fuel pump in the car failed, as it is the second used pump that I have had in the car I decided that the time has come to buy a new one, well that was a quick way to spend $205 but after some initial confusion, that found me connecting it up the wrong way so although I could hear the whirr sound I was not rewarded with the Vroom Vroom noise from the engine. once the penny dropped that the wires were wrong way around it took about five seconds to change them around and to have a the big grin of success . I have even managed to get all of the idiot lights on the dash work properly including an alternator light that reminds me to “fasten Belts”.
