400 not out

This is post four hundred at this blog and although many on the left see me as some sort of present day Darth Vader the reality is that I’m just an ordinary bloke who wants to say my piece and engage in debate. This blog is my means of doing that.

It is clear to me that my critics are stuck in the same repetitive groove,  rather  like the needle on an old vinyl record;  really they have become rather dull. At present there are five Iain Hall Hate sites on the web so perhaps my blogging is far more effective than any of my critics are willing to admit; after all neither Andrew Bolt nor Tim Blair have that many web pages devoted to hating them and they are by far much bigger fish than me.

In the last 400 posts I have covered many different topics and revisited a number of themes that have become quite an interest for me as time has passed and I see no reason to change my blogging approach;  quoting interesting things that I find on the web and giving them my own interpretation.

The one thing that I have found is that as a process blogging on various topics can be a great learning process and there can be no greater example than the issue of “white ribbon day ” I started from a disgust at the obvious Misandry of the organizers and a strong feeling that there was more to it than just a pernicious aspect of the male persona that was to be denounced. Blogging about this event  lead to the discovery of the work of Erin Pizzey and thence to a more nuanced understanding of relationship dynamics, good and bad. It will be no surprise to many that the reaction from the hard left ideologues when I and others suggested that the concept of White Ribbon day was innately flawed that they should respond with the very shallow assertion that by questioning any aspect of the event is tantamount to supporting domestic violence.

Like most people I was horrified by the terrorist atrocities on 9/11 and the subsequent atrocities in London, Madrid, Bali an elsewhere. So I have explored many aspects on the clash between Islam and the west including the War on Terror and our own local manifestations of this latter day death cult so I have written about Islam and the west, and of course David Hicks and Mandoub Habib.

As I have said before a varied Blog diet is as important as balance in what we eat so I have also tried to write some posts on lighter topics and domestic matters some bloggers choose to write about their cats or their dogs but here the posts have been about chooks and children. Despite the fact that my life is largely spend fulfilling a traditionally female role of rearing our children I have kept in touch with my inner bloke by posting pieces about cars and motorcycles which are two of my passions.

But no matter what I post about I have always welcomed the responses from my readers, especially when the responses are thoughtful and well considered.  There have been some lively debates responding to some of my posts and since I got a handle on the Askemet Spam filter a delightful absence of the rubbish comments that were so vexatious when I was writing at my old blogger blog.

My resident troll still writes his very sad hate blog and he remains notably quiet about he previous boast that he could not be stopped from posting comments here ,the fact that he actually can’t do so might have something to do with it though. His entire repertoire over there now seems to consist of continuing to post my personal details and variations on calling me one name or another. But I take heart from the fact his support seems to be in rather a rather serious decline that is inversely proportional to his hyperbole. His only comment in the last three posts was from the nefarious Bridgit Gread and even she expresses some disgust at his tactics.

So as I consider the future at this time of renewal I think that I am travelling pretty well and I owe a fair bit of it to the readers of all political persuasions who take the time to make comments here . So if you are a reader who has not previously commented please fell welcome to let us all know what you think, I promise not to bite unless bitten.

Cheers 8)

You have FIVE hate sites devoted to you!!!

Oh man, what is it about leftists and their ‘tolerance’ of free speech.

You got an example Iain, i know i’ll have to get the radiation protection suit, but i’m willing to risk it.

One way to look at it is the more the left screams the surer you can be you’re on the right track.

  2. Iain says:

Yes MK I must be doing something right as one of them is a paid domain name jobbie!
It irks them no end that no matter what dirty tricks and foul abuse they throw at me I still kleep blogging

  3. Keith says:

MK, it’ ain’t fair! How come we don’t have any sites devoted to hatred of AWH and Rabbit, eh?
    Let’s study Iain’s methods carefully–and steal his ideas. :-)
Seriously, I’m at a loss to understand why this site provokes so much hostility, Iain. ( I do have one theory, but not for publication ;-) )

  4. Iain says:

I have tried to negotiation with them to make some sort of peace but so many of them just thrive on hatred and they love to project the same hatred into what I write when that is the last thing I generally intend to express as you two gentlemen will, I am sure, agree.

  5. Keith says:

Agreed. I’ve been amazed at your forbearance more than a few times.
I have a theory that lefties are bullying cowards at heart and they view forbearance and restraint as weakness.

  6. Iain says:

You are right about the bullying cowards bit but I’ve dealt with that sort of cretin for such a long time and long ago learnt that the best way to beat them is to set the terms of the argument; so don’t rush off an angry response, instead think very carefully and be more calm and more reasonable than they are expecting. That way they are quickly exposed for the vicious idiots that they so often are.
Keith Your disc will be in the mail tuesday ;)

  7. Keith says:

woohoo! Thank you! I can’t wait. (by then the removal guys should have delivered the dvd player and tv)

  8. Brett_McS says:

    “Disc”?

  9. The Editor says:

    * A disc of Iain’s entire animated gif library?

    * A disc of images of Iain in private and suggestive poses?

    * A disc, entitled “400 posts and 15,000 page hits of gold”, containing the whole contents of Iain’s website?

    * A disc of Iain’s (now redundant) dirt file on Anonymous “Jeremy Sear” Lefty?

  10. Keith says:

*sigh* “even in times of great hardship, there’s never a shortage of idiots”
    Peter Ustinov

  11. Iain says:

    Exactly right Keith.

  12. MK says:

Er guys, i think i may have my first one, check the comments of this post.

Ok it’s not an actual hate site, but technically it’s like a veiled threat right?

Oh dear, whatever will i do.

  13. PKD says:

    Lord Darth Vader?

Lord Dark Helmet more like! ;)

(Back refreshed from a good Easter break!)

  14. PKD says:

BTW thats a rather feminine looking Dart Vader you have up there – not only is he walking somewhat ‘camp’ but he almost appears to be wearing heels! And is that a vibrator he’s carrying or what???
    :)

  15. Keith says:

careful, PKD the Homophobe Police are listening! lol!

  16. Iain says:

    MK
As the locus of hate pertaining to me all seems to revolve around the now very old news about my stoush with Jeremy Sear Keep taking the piss out of him and soon you to can have your own string of hate sites devoted to trying to tear you a new arsehole.
I have sinned in their eyes by being the one to show that one of their blogging Icons is an utter fool, what I find amusing is that although so many of them are avowed atheists they strive so hard to deify idiots such as Sear to the status of some sort of Blogging Demigod. I love the way you guys at AWH give him such a regular bollocking and even more that he keeps coming back for a repeat performance.

  17. PKD says:

careful, PKD the Homophobe Police are listening! lol!

Y’know…maybe Iain Hall really is that Darth Vader after all! :)

  18. MK says:

Thanks Iain, as for Jeremy, sometimes i wonder if the fellow is starved for attention. Either that or he keeps proving Ann Coulter’s point about leftists, they have to make the same mistakes over and over and over.

How else can one explain why he keeps coming back.

  19. Iain says:

I think that having a band of sycophants like he does at his blogs, and having weeded out all contrary opinion there he has no one to really challenge him so he goes over to AWH on a regular basis to stir the possum and then when he gets thrashed he can go back to his own blog and play” I’m a heroic lefty taking the fight to the RWDBs “ and they were so mean to me card. As he does in his latest post. At AL

  20. MK says:

Holy nelly, you’re right thanks for bringing this to our attention Iain, i seldom wade into that cesspool due to the need for a good hot shower and all that scrubbing that will be needed afterwards.

Keith i believe we have our first one, granted it’s not devoted to AWH, but it’s close enough for me. Woohoo.
